The fact I thought this was real says a lot about society.

I also ate the onion.

Whenever I see this guy, all I can think about is how he chased down a random Black jogger with a shotgun. Not surprised that establishment politicians let him be the token "leftist."

[-] kristina@hexbear.net 18 points 11 months ago

Wtf what's the story there

[-] frogbellyratbone_@hexbear.net 25 points 11 months ago

he chased down a random black jogger with a shotgun

[-] kristina@hexbear.net 15 points 11 months ago

0_0 but like did he get arrested or anything

https://www.inquirer.com/politics/election/john-fetterman-black-jogger-2013-shotgun-20220425.html

tldr: unseen shots fired, fetterman went yeehawwwww, held some random black dude hostage until police showed up, police searched the dude who was just a random black guy. no punishment on fetterman.

[-] kristina@hexbear.net 24 points 11 months ago

The fuck. Damn wish that stroke was cooler

[-] SputnikII@hexbear.net 27 points 11 months ago

I love how this dude spent like, maybe 9 months throwing a fit about the sweatpants and shorts thing to look as everyman as possible, then less than a year into his 6 year term, goes full lib and endorses genocide.

Then, I hear for the first time from this very thread that in 2013 he held a black runner at gunpoint? Lol, lmao even. How abundantly clear does it have to become that electoralism is just the circuses part of "bread and circuses?"

Genocide John should be forced to wear full Victorian winter formal dress every day for the rest of his life and be confined to the equator

[-] ElChapoDeChapo@hexbear.net 7 points 11 months ago

I say we give him a choice, he either wears that or an iron maiden

[-] anonochronomus@hexbear.net 6 points 11 months ago

Unfortunately, the Iron Maiden was actually invented in the 1800s and never actually used. It was devised as spooky contraption to sell to museums and oddity shows. Fortunately, we have a better device: THE BREAKING WHEEL.

wish they'd get to the bread part

[-] HumanBehaviorByBjork@hexbear.net 2 points 11 months ago

the 2013 incident was a major point during his campaign. of course the chuds didn't talk about it as much as the stroke, but it was definitely known.

[-] CarmineCatboy@hexbear.net 19 points 11 months ago

they never miss

[-] frogbellyratbone_@hexbear.net 19 points 11 months ago

fetterman makes no sense to me. dude just won the senate seat. he's set for 6 years.

i can "understand" not wanting to rile up AIPAC (those are hard fucking quotes, there's a genocide going on), but to just lash out alongside AIPAC/Israeli government for the genocide when there's 0 political reason for doing so.....? again, he just won. he's set for 6 years. set for life now with the congressional pension, really.

honestly, get his ass.

[-] utopologist@hexbear.net 15 points 11 months ago

He's a true believer in the cause

[-] EmmaGoldman@hexbear.net 12 points 11 months ago

He got in to be the Trojan horse for Senate Casual Fridays. Job done, now he just runs with the hogs.

[-] thisismyrealname@hexbear.net 8 points 11 months ago

i think he's delusional enough to think he'll become a lifetime senator

[-] MF_COOM@hexbear.net 17 points 11 months ago

They've been going hard on Fetterman lol

gig economy healthcare is fucked up

[-] anonochronomus@hexbear.net 6 points 11 months ago

Better help us the most evil dystopian shit I can imagine. The system we have for treating mental health is already complete nonsense. Remember the human crush event at that Travis Scott concert, and how the compensation he offered the survivors was a single better help therapy session? BECAUSE I SURE AS SHIT REMEMBER.

[-] conditional_soup@lemm.ee 6 points 11 months ago

Oh, hey, you were part of a human crush? You've got PTSD? Well, you'll be glad to hear about today's sponsor
