I found out because I was talking to my partner earlier "I don't have work on Friday I'm not sure about Monday though I'll need to check" "Monday is christmas I doubt you have work" "oh..."

That means I don't have to start my Christmas shopping for another 2 days.

If you aren’t rushing from store to store in a last minute panic induced mixture of rage and disappointment in yourself for letting it come to this, is it even Christmas?

For me it's trying to get crochet projects done. I have two football coasters so far >.<

I like the way you think!

I always like a good running all day store to store to find that last Turbo-Man just to finally remember you didn't get anything for your wive.

22nd today. Christmas is 24th. 2 days

[-] RIP_Cheems@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

No, it's the 25th, it's 3 days.

[-] DriftinGrifter@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 10 months ago

Depends in country some celebrate the 24th

[-] Donkter@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

This is kind of true. The liturgical day begins on sundown. So Christmas Day is technically after sundown on the 24th to the sundown of the 25th. Most of the day is spent on the 25th, in the christian calendar it's all on the 25th and the confusion only arises as the calendars clash.

And where I am it's been the 23rd for the last 17.5 hours so

[-] Lemmygizer@lemmy.world 13 points 10 months ago

Eh, Christmas is next week. I'll just figure out gifts then.

Company Christmas party last weekend I got a new jacket. It's been too warm outside to wear it. Doesn't feel like Christmas at all.

I work at a grocery store. It's been so busy with Thanksgiving and the holidays that this was literally me yesterday.

[-] agent_flounder@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago

Hm, guess I oughta try and put up the tree soon.

[-] justastranger@sh.itjust.works 5 points 10 months ago
