The Apprentice was super popular even if it sucked ass. It really ”rejuvenated the Trump brand” or whatever the marketing ghouls would say. Before that, he seemed to be mostly forgotten about and only known for being a gaudy, harmless guy who owned some casinos. He was a relic of 80s yuppie culture like if Gordon Gecko had been a real person.
