£309 gaming console for a four year old.
Yeah, my daughter is 4 and is learning on my switch how to play Mario 64. I anticipate her wanting her own for Xmas. She also has her own desktop pc (an ancient workstation) but she knows how to find the sesame street and gabbys dollhouse websites.
She knows that if we dont go to swimming and eat our dinner she doesnt get to use them. You have to give them cool shit so you can take it away if they want to be assholes.
If my friends are any guide it was justified as a present for the nipper but would get a lot more use by the grown-ups.
The Nintendo Switch Pro was sent back to House of Fraser in January
Dude had the only Switch Pro in existence and he got rid of it? He deserves the pants.
Pro because it couldn't read any games
At least it wasn't cargo shorts - the ultimate insult.
You can’t see him, but John Cena saw this comment and is looking for you now
I say, bring it on. From where I am hiding behind my sofa.
Rookie error. You've got to set the console up first, Install updates and whatnot. Basic etiquette. Bad Dad.
Depends on the kid. Doing that stuff was part of the joy for me and I'd have been sad to have that taken away from me.
The kids four
This is the best summary I could come up with:
A father has been refunded after he sent a retailer a faulty games console for repair and received a pair of cargo trousers in its place.
Scott Purdue, from Stevenage, Hertfordshire, had bought a Nintendo Switch from House of Fraser for his son, four, as a Christmas present.
The father said he had paid £309 for the console in November, and had not realised it had a fault reading games until his son used it on Christmas Day.
After not hearing anything back from the retailer, Mr Purdue contacted the store and it informed him that it had received a pair of cargo trousers instead.
On the programme, which deals with consumer complaints, he insisted he had sent the games console by post as the retailer had instructed.
In a statement Frasers Group said: "We have been in touch with the customer to apologise for his experience and offer a full refund, as well as provide a goodwill voucher."
