I was just referencing that gun culture in the united states is horrible and impacts children severely, so putting guns in schools is even worse.

Did these folks forget the response by trained officers in Uvalde? People also tend to not realize how chaotic and unstable an active shooter situation can be, even if it's just a suspected one. My ex is a school teacher. She would be in tears at times because of all the "active shooter" drills they would have to go through. Where if there is an incident they have already planned the furniture that would be moved to block the door, and where to take shelter in the rooms to avoid gun fire from the hallways. But more importantly, the absolute shit-tier kids who are a huuuge pain in the ass, who find ways to get under their skins and always have an excuse why the rules don't apply to them trying to get away with anything. But even worse...their small-town wealthy over-entitled insufferable moms who think their precious little child is only getting bad grades because the teacher isn't good enough, and even though the kid dicks around in class on their phones all day never turns in homework and fails tests...the administration makes them adjust grades so the parents will stfu.
