“I think part of the problem is young people aren’t having enough sex so they go on the hunt for fake threats and the most popular threat through history is [antisemitism].”

Galloway said American society would not survive if its people could not rally behind noble causes — adding that much of what he was seeing reminded him of the early rise of Hitler.

“It’s easy to poke fun at these kids, but history has a way of repeating itself, and this is how it starts. In ’30s Germany, a progressive community, a thriving gay community, excellent academic institutions. And how it started, was it was fashionable to wear a brown shirt and mock students at the University of Vienna,’ Galloway said.

Galloway repeated his observation which went viral this week that if students at terrorist encampments were chanting slogans calling for the death of black or gays they would be swiftly stamped out.

And that professors who did so would never work again.

And if my grandmother had wheels and could lift up to 5000 pounds, she’d be a Toyota 3-Wheel Electric Forklift.

If that was your grandmother, I was inside her today.

[-] outer_spec@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 1 year ago

…You were inside a dead person? 🤨

[-] Delphia@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I was in something that could lift up to 5000 pounds and had 3 wheels.

"Baby, that was amazing! I feel completely different about 110,000+ dead and wounded Palestinians. Turns out I wasn't morally conflicted about my country's involvement or where taxes are going, just horny."

It's worth mentioning that Galloway routinely describes himself as "an attention-seeking whore".

Why bring it up? It seems relevant if you're deciding how much of your own energy to spend discussing this.

Maybe if he was getting more sex…

Of course it's from the New York Post. Who the hell reads this garbage?

[-] Spiralvortexisalie@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

All the rags have their bias, but they arguably have more boots on the ground then me so its worthwhile source. That you know their bias lets you unfilter their reporting. Kinda of how NYT has banned the word Palestine, but is still respected world over. This is an obvious garbage article but also shows you the depths these manipulators have to go to make this not about Israel. That they are trying everything and nothing is still connecting to the average joe is pretty telling.

I think we have a nominee for dumbest take of the century. The author, Jon Levine, can go f himself.

On that note, how many prostitutes could you hire on a college campus for the cash saved by firing a bunch of full time cops and security personnel?

Cuz clearly this would be a much better approach at solving the root of the problem

[-] PowerCrazy@lemmy.ml 22 points 1 year ago

Sounds like the words of someone who has never been to a protest. One of the best part of protests is the high chance of meeting someone during the protest that will lead to life-long friends and possibly even sex.

[-] Annoyed_Crabby 15 points 1 year ago

I certainly didn't know Hitler and the Nazi started by protesting against German for being complicit with genocide that clearly recorded and for the world to see.

[-] Juice@midwest.social 14 points 1 year ago

"The reason so many students are engaged in protests is because not enough co-eds are having sex with me, their professor"

[-] KingThrillgore@lemmy.ml 13 points 1 year ago

Sex is great but changing the world feels better.

[-] Omega_Haxors@lemmy.ml 12 points 1 year ago

Step 1) Go to protest

Step 2) Find partner and have kids

Step 3) Raise your kids as Maoists

[-] Zeppo@sh.itjust.works 11 points 1 year ago

Does that mean I’m more or less likely to get laid after attending an anti-Israel protest?

[-] Obonga@feddit.de 5 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

As these protests would be full of underfucked people (according to the article) your chances of ending up at an orgy afterwards are like really high.

I guess the dude thought his ero-fiction was fit for a newspaper.

[-] Zeppo@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 year ago

That was my first thought, but then I considered maybe they aren't planning on changing their status.

[-] pingveno@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Protest hard, party hard?

[-] Alsephina@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

The title seems to suggest that joining a pro-Palestine protest is the solution, so I'd say more likely

This is the most selfawarewolf shit I've ever seen. Galloway mocks progressive students, then comments how mocking progressive students is just like the Brown Shirts.

I'm starting to think NY is a neo-nazi hotspot with how many of their institutions are just outright fascist.

[-] Daxtron2@startrek.website 3 points 1 year ago

Considering how much of the state is a conservative hell hole, kinda.

That's what he likes about college girls, he keeps getting older, they stay the same age, yes they do.
