If you haven’t read about it, do yourself a favor. I ignored it for quite a while because I don’t care, but that was a serious mistake. The whole account is wonderful.

The other thing I took away from it is that the NYPD homicide detectives (who, for some reason, were involved) sure know their stuff. They sorted out that it was hit by a car, died somewhere else (like pretty far away), and then someone moved it to Central Park. To me that was impressive.

Also, RFK Jr wants everyone to know that he was NOT drinking. Everyone else involved was drunk as shit. But not him, because he wouldn’t do that; that would clearly be a bad decision when you’re dropping a dead bear cub in a staged bicycle accident in Central Park.

[-] catloaf@lemm.ee 49 points 3 months ago

Which is worse, doing stupid shit drunk, or being stone cold sober and thinking this was a good idea?

[-] ArbiterXero@lemmy.world 14 points 3 months ago

Right???

Like I’d judge him if he was drunk still, because that shows spectacularly bad judgement.

But doing it sober makes it seem premeditated?

[-] SidewaysHighways@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

Sounds like something a person close to me with mental illness would do

[-] ISOmorph@feddit.org 9 points 3 months ago

I think it's more a matter of drunk driving being an obvious criminal offence, while dumping a bear carcass in a park might be more in a grey zone-ish?

[-] dogslayeggs@lemmy.world 43 points 3 months ago

I'm less concerned about dumping the dead bear in Central Park than I am with the decision making to even have a dead bear to dump.

[-] mozz@mbin.grits.dev 33 points 3 months ago

His friend hit it with her car, and he decided he wanted to take the body home and cut it up for meat.

The decision to get out of your car and start fuckin' with the dead bear cub's body, just assuming that it has no family in the area, seems to me like honestly the most serious mistake of the entire bad idea adventure.

[-] EmpathicVagrant@lemmy.world 28 points 3 months ago

Okay but to me that falls apart when it’s followed up with ‘oh I have a flight to catch I better just dump it in central fucking park’

If you knew there were plans you can’t miss, you definitely don’t have time to dress and butcher a bear.

Guy’s friends we’re all drunk but he super defininitely wasn’t? Was one of the drunk friends driving?

[-] ValenThyme@reddthat.com 10 points 3 months ago

cocaine makes all of it make sense

[-] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 9 points 3 months ago

And the worm.

[-] IsThisAnAI@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

Rfk jr has been pretty actively in recovery after a bad heroin and LSD addiction. He's been, in the public, known to be this crazy since he was a kid. IMO if he relapsed he'd be dead and it wouldn't be cocaine.

[-] floofloof@lemmy.ca 19 points 3 months ago

Are we sure his "friend" isn't just him?

[-] PythagreousTitties@lemm.ee 13 points 3 months ago

His worm friend.

[-] clgoh@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 months ago

Possibly getting brain worms might be the worst part.

[-] PythagreousTitties@lemm.ee 14 points 3 months ago

Im flabbergasted about needing to put a bicycle next to it for some reason. They added that to their "plan".

These people were also full grown 60 year old adults.

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

Bicycles: notorious bear killers.

[-] chiliedogg@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago

The whole thing is a remarkable string of bad decisions. I'm a little impressed.

[-] TheLowestStone@lemmy.world 5 points 3 months ago

One of his hobbies when he was younger was hanging out with his hawk (who may or may not have been trained to kill cops) next to a pit full of rotting cow carcasses. It blows my mind that anyone would consider someone this unhinged a viable candidate for president.

[-] RattlerSix@lemmy.world 31 points 3 months ago

I thought that said conservatives and was surprised they actually care about a person's judgement

[-] PythagreousTitties@lemm.ee 8 points 3 months ago

Wow thank you. That's what I read it as too, and I was thinking oh this is where they draw the line with this wacko?

[-] Ab_intra@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

Hint: they only do if it gives them the upper hand..

[-] dmtalon@infosec.pub 30 points 3 months ago

It was the brain worms directing him.

[-] clgoh@lemmy.ca 5 points 3 months ago

Possibly how he got the brain worms, to be honest.

[-] Nomad@infosec.pub 1 points 3 months ago

I heard the worm was killed and removed. Seems to have left some spectacular damage though.

[-] dmtalon@infosec.pub 6 points 3 months ago

This happened like 10 years ago, so the worms were just digging in back then perhaps.

[-] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 11 points 3 months ago

Lying liar tells the truth about something and it’s even worse for him. Fuck this piece of shit.

[-] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago

Jeez, is he using orange pancake makeup too? FFS.

[-] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 4 points 3 months ago

It is depressingly effective if you've got that pallid veiny translucent thing old white people get.

[-] Ab_intra@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

I think I saw Biden using it as well 🫣

[-] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

Lies!

Wait, really? Where??

[-] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Any one who goes on under television studio lights will be wearing pancake makeup.

Otherwise you look incredibly pale and freakish. Trump being orange has more to do with horrible make up (and possibly interactions with bronzer)

Yes. This includes your favorite beefcake action hero.

[-] Furbag@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

Trump wears an excessive amount of bronzer. Not always, but when he plans to make public appearances he does for sure. There are a few photos out there, usually of him at his golf resorts where he thinks he's safe from the paparazzi and they snap some candid shots of his pale, pallid looking skin, unkempt hair, and even eczema sores. Dude is super vain about it, but honestly, the mock-ups of him without all the work required to keep his signature look - the hair plugs, the bronzer, the TV makeup, etc. actually make him look more like his age and a bit more relatable from a... I dunno, human perspective?

[-] Ab_intra@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

Haha. It was from an interview. Also I don't say it to spread lies.. I liked the guy. I'm not a Trump sucker.

[-] Ab_intra@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago
[-] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 8 points 3 months ago

Mmm I dunno, that looks like regular “tv interview” makeup. There’s three problems with it:

  • it matches the color of his hands
  • there’s no ridiculous “raccoon eyes” or clown-face border
  • he’s not in public screaming about immigrants poisoning the blood of the nation

Although admittedly that last one may be subjective

[-] cowfodder@lemmy.world 7 points 3 months ago

The 4 part series that Behind the Bastards just did on him is fascinating. What a strange dude!

[-] Ab_intra@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Indeed. Like thinking that the government is planting data chips in vaccines..

[-] njm1314@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

Say there are some things conservatives in the rest of us can agree on.

[-] PythagreousTitties@lemm.ee 4 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

The headline doesn't say conservatives.
I thought it did too.

[-] AncientFutureNow@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

And they are not wrong.

[-] archonet@lemy.lol 1 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

that was the giveaway, huh? Not... you know, everything else that's come out of his mouth?
