Like fuck Sean Combs, but most people stuck in jail are because they can't post bail. Or because of the American bail system, can't afford to pay 10% as essentially a fine.

Thousands of people deal with it every day there, it sucks we only talk about it when a rich person experiences it. But we still need to talk about.

Depends on the state. Illinois eliminated cash bail in 2023. You're only held pending trial if you're a threat to the community or a flight risk (to be determined at a hearing by a judge). A few other states have made changes to their bail laws to reduce the number of arrestees who are required to post cash bail as well.

OP is probably also trying to draw a connection between Combs and Epstein, who is said to have committed suicide in his cell,but in suspicious circumstances including a lack of video surveillance that should have been there.
