After everything that's happened I would be genuinely surprised if even half this country bothered to take precautions for this one.

Some talking heads on the news are saying it's "like the flu". I'm not saying they're wrong, but we went through this already on 2020. I'm just suspicious until we know more.

I'd say yes and no, not necessarily due to changing temperatures but due to huge quantities of bird livestock (in absolute cosmic horror conditions) but I guess loss of habitat and a polluted environment doesn't help much, animal industry is for sure the biggest drive of viral/bacterial diseases. Which is kinda poetically fitting tbh, considering the nightmare modern day factory farming is.
It's mostly an effect of meat consumption.
