Elon, you don't need to apologize for anything.

You've shown the people you were trying to impress, exactly who you are. A liar, a cheat, a pay2win newb pretending to be hot shit but failing terribly on it, the worst kind of gamer that most gamers have encountered.

We don't know that, it's not like he is out there publicly doing Nazi salutes in front of thousands ...

[-] Asafum@feddit.nl 68 points 10 months ago

Exactly! All the Respectable News Outlets®©™ have said he just has an awkward wave! Nothing to see here!

[-] Sturgist@lemmy.ca 5 points 10 months ago

Do believe it was thrice

[-] Thorry84@feddit.nl 12 points 10 months ago

It was just an awkward wave! And you might have heard him say Sieg Heil, but he was just awkwardly sneezing, he's just a silly awkward boi.

I see we've hit the "it wasn't that big a deal" part of the Narcissist's Prayer.

And if it was, it's the dems fault for not having a good enough platform to avoid this

He should deal with his accounts being banned, because account sharing is against the tos in both games.

[-] ech@lemm.ee 51 points 10 months ago

I suspect neither company wants to piss him off, but holy shit, that would be *chefskiss*

[-] Carbonizer@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago

GGG is based out of New Zealand, they don't have to care about any political ramifications unlike Actiblizz

[-] ech@lemm.ee 1 points 10 months ago

What did I say to suggest it had anything to do with politics?

[-] HereIAm@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

For what reasons other than political would blizzard want to stay on his good side? Or do you think Elon's money in the cosmetic store would just be that valuable to them?

[-] schizo@forum.uncomfortable.business 112 points 10 months ago

New title: Rich guy who has bought his way into everything in his life admits to buying his way into boosting his accounts, internet expresses great lack of surprise.

[-] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 39 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

You forgot: expresses a complete lack of moral capacity to understand why he should feel bad about it.

[-] iAmTheTot@sh.itjust.works 97 points 10 months ago

I am so fucking sick of hearing about this twat in every corner of my life.

If he lies about this then what else does he lie about?

[-] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 24 points 10 months ago

Like Donald Trump, I just assume he's lying if sounds are coming out of his mouth.

He lost the benefit of the doubt in 2018 when he falsely accused a rescue worker of being a pedophile.

[-] BeMoreCareful@lemmy.world 6 points 10 months ago

What's crazy is that he seemed kind of normal beforehand.

"What would I be appologizing for?"

Just one thing, lying and claiming that you accomplished the progress in the games yourself.

[-] simple@lemm.ee 24 points 10 months ago
[-] aramis87@fedia.io 23 points 10 months ago

It's interesting that his thought process is, "It's not cheating, everyone does it which means this is fine!"

I mean, the thought process he's admitting to here is interesting in light of Trump thanking Musk for "He knows those computers better than anybody. All those computers. Those vote-counting computers. And we ended up winning Pennsylvania like in a landslide."

[-] RampantParanoia2365@lemmy.world 8 points 10 months ago

Most certainly, "everyone" does not feel compelled to pay people to have fun for them.

[-] ech@lemm.ee 6 points 10 months ago

Not exactly "interesting" - he's just deeply narcissistic. Here's a handy guide:

"That didn't happen.

And if it did, it wasn't that bad.

(Current story sits here)

And if it was, that's not a big deal.

And if it is, that's not my fault.

And if it was, I didn't mean it.

And if I did, you deserved it."

[-] Ioughttamow@fedia.io 11 points 10 months ago

Don’t care if he doesn’t feel bad about it, I know he sucks, fucking poser

[-] zecg@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

He was playing using a neuralink prototype, that's why he looked as if he was abusing ketamine
