On the couch by the TV, in a chair by your desktop, on your bed with a laptop..? I usually prefer sitting by the couch by the TV and don't really get how people can just survive having a laptop, or to sit in an uncomfortable chair by one's desktop.

My preference is sitting in my couch and watching things in my tv. I call it “the big screen” lol. However, I typically watch an episode of whatever show I’m watching on my phone on my lunch break at work, which means I have my phone propped up to the side of my cube and I’m in my desk chair looking over at it while I eat my lunch lol.

On my bed on a tablet. I actually hate big screen TV because it looks fake to me. Tablet sized lets me get into the scenes.

Most common TV mistakes:

  • The TV should sit at eye level. Most people install TVs way too high which makes it uncomfortable to watch.
  • The size of the TV depends on how far away you are seating from it. Most people can't afford a large enough screen or mistakenly sit way too far.
  • Finally, disable all the common fancy anti-features that smart TVs have. Like motion smoothing, noise reduction, automatic luminance and contrast, among others. This is the one that makes TVs look fake. Known as the soap opera effect. And it can also make great detail and film grain (specially on 4k) turn into an ugly playdoh like texture, turning actor's faces into plastic.

On my bed with a laptop. Macbook Air makes it so comfy, I feel like this is its main feature.

Usually at my computer or in bed on my laptop or charger. If I'm watching it with my partner or if it's one I wanna see in the best picture quality I might watch on the TV, on the sofa.

If I'm paying attention to something, it needs to be on a largish screen with me at attention on the couch. Otherwise, most content gets put on as background noise on my phone, tablet, whatever, while I do the dishes.

Completely agree with you and I wonder if it's a generational thing. If I want to watch something, I'm sitting on the couch and watching it on the TV.

Coach and tv. I refuse to do it any other way.

I have an armchair with a footstool. When it’s cold I use a blanket also. My cat refuses to lay on me for some reason, that would be perfection. Chair, blanket and cat.

I watch most via my selfhosted Jellyfin but sometimes on streaming services if it's more convenient. Usually we watch in the family room but sometimes I'll watch my show while gaming.

That's my fallback method if my wife is hogging the TV.

On a screen on my desk or on a laptop in my bed. I might move one of the screens to the bedroom at some point and connect my laptop there.

On the screen of my desktop.
