They're also deleting any photos or records of any black or female service members they deleted mentions of the Tuskeegee Airmen. They are just removing any records of black folks in the military ever, and archivist have already said their methods are 100% destructive, they are only retaining screen caps of much of this information, so it's never going to be restored, just a very low res copy of often a single image out of entire galleries. They're getting shit for deleting Enola Gay records, fucking NOTHING about how they're deleting every fucking record of black service members. Sickening shit.
I guess maybe no-one's surprised they're erasing women and people of color, but people are surprised they're deleting Enola Gay. Still sickening, though, as you say.
The hypocrisy is a power move
My favorite was them getting rid of a program that helped young people move from being dependent on the system to becoming tax paying citizens. Because the word they used for the change was "transitioning."
