Attorney General Pam Bondi has said the Department of Justice will seek a 20-year prison sentence for a man accused of throwing a firebomb at a Tesla dealership.

Bondi said Monday that Cooper Jo Frederick, who is accused of attacking a Tesla dealership in Loveland, Colorado, on March 7, would face federal charges.

Attempt to overthrow the government, however...

[-] MolecularCactus1324@lemmy.world 34 points 10 months ago

3 months, pardoned

[-] Taco2112@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

Shocking, the only form of protest they seem to notice is when it’s against property.

America is owned by Elon Musk.

But hey, at least the orange muppet in charge released the insurrection prisoners and is going to reward them with your tax dollars in payouts.

Way to fucking go America. If only the rest of the world could be like you. 🤮

Cause damage to a building requiring a couple coats of paint: 20 years in prison.

Use an app to share classified information and share it with the media putting troops lives in danger: nothing to see here. No need for investigation.

So now they care about people infiltrating and destroying buildings?

[-] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 26 points 10 months ago

They never did and still don't.

They care about imprisoning or murdering those who don't share their ideology.

[-] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 53 points 10 months ago

Didn't her party release 1500 terrorists back into our society?

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

Yes. But right wing terrorism does not count as terrorism in their book.

This is the dual state. One legal system for everyone, except when the fascists are involved. Then there are an entirely different set of laws

[-] jjjalljs@ttrpg.network 11 points 10 months ago

It's the "conservatism has one rule: there must be in-groups for the law to protect but not bind, and outgroups for the law to bind but not protect" thing.

[-] crusa187@lemmy.ml 7 points 10 months ago

Almost as if conservatism and fascism go hand-in-hand.

And unequal justice is not justice at all

[-] Lanske@lemmy.world 48 points 10 months ago

But if you attack the Capitol, you get released out of jail. What a joke

[-] showmeyourkizinti@startrek.website 28 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

This the stupidest step they could take. Seriously if you’re going to get 20 years for throwing a firebomb. Well, in for a penny - in for a pound, you might as well … I can’t make any suggestions after all, but let your mind wander and I’m sure you can think of something a lot worse that’s still only going to get you 20 years.

I can't wait for AG Pam Bondi to start going after and arresting all the thousands of 200 year old people collecting social security.

[-] 5oap10116@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

That's a /s right?

[-] MuskyMelon@lemmy.world 20 points 10 months ago

Attacking Congress and policemen... Just innocent tourists falsely accused...

What a joke America has become

[-] thedruid@lemmy.world 16 points 10 months ago

She needs to be jailed with the rest of them

[-] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 14 points 10 months ago

It's weird how upset the hard right gets over property damage. They got very upset over their made-up "fact" that "whole cities were burnt to the ground" by BLM/antifa.

But it's okay to plan and scheme for, then carry out, a terrorist event at the Capitol to overturn a free and fair election, and possibly lynch the VP and any other politicians that they didn't like and could get their grubby little hands on. I do notice that property damage that is part of the government seems to get an exception, too.

[-] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 13 points 10 months ago

Ladies and gentlemen, don't get caught.

[-] hddsx@lemmy.ca 11 points 10 months ago

Tesla just makes electric cars, Musk? I thought it was a technology company. Are you saying its value is inflated?

[-] violetdelights818@lemm.ee 11 points 10 months ago

How many bottle blonds does this administration have. The bleach is seeping into their cerebral spinal fluid.

[-] RidderSport@feddit.org 6 points 10 months ago

I keep reading her name as Pam Blondi

[-] Revan343@lemmy.ca 4 points 10 months ago

This is the first I'm hearing that it's not Pam Blondi

[-] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago

Pam Bondi is 60 years old. She gets weekly baby blood transfusions, and sleeps in a sensory deprivation pod.

(Only one of these things is verifiably true. The other two are just guesses... but probably.)

[-] Lupus@feddit.org 5 points 10 months ago

"I'm just asking questions!"

[-] cabron_offsets@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago

Suck my dick.

[-] bradorsomething@ttrpg.network 5 points 10 months ago

Does anyone at DOJ not call her Blondi as she walks away?
