People with dyslexia:

"Do you want to play tetris?" Of course!

Sirens sound "ALERT. THIS IS A CODE RED. AIRPORT IS ON LOCKDOWN."

Glances at the text on screen "Are you a terrorist?"

I'm pretty sure that future billionaire me seems like a cool guy, I'm totally not biased.

Eat the rich, except if I become rich, then I'm exempt because I am a honorary proletariat

/s but seriously tho, if anyone becomes a billionaire, they'll soon get corrupted by the wealth

Same, I'd also like every article abput Facebook/Meta to be kept on a specific community, every Twitter article to be kept on that specific community. Every incident with a tech company should be kept within that community. Might as well just shut down this community and have specific communites for every different technology: Phones, Tablets, Computers, Chat AI, Art AI, Cars, Trucks, Planes, Android, iOS, Windows OS, Quantum Computing, Virtual Reality, Augumented Reality, and so on. Each topic should just have their own community instead of simply having a general Technology community

Someone: Photographs pages of a book in a book store

OP: "Hello Police? Someone is stealing a book!"

That's not jolly. That's not jolly at all.

What ever you do, please do not visit communities like !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com to find methods of getting the content you want. Remember, you wouldn't download a car, you wouldn't download a netflix. Piracy, ~~it's a crime~~ it doesn't cost a dime!

Again, please do not visit communities like !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 😉

Oh really? This fediverse thing is awesome! 😃

Edit: So how do I search the video in Lemmy?

Edit 2: I tried searching a channel like this: !igem_community@video.igem.org and nothing happend after clicking the search button 10 times. I check the instances and the peertube instance isn't blocked but also isn't "linked". I'm not sure this is even working.

Edit 3: It worked! https://video.igem.org/w/fy4txsfL2A33eUPmQgZLFp look at my comment! 😃 All I did was put the link in the Lemmy search bar and clicked search a few times.

This reminds me of the conflict between Graphene OS's Dev and Louis Rossmann, and now Rossmann had to uninstall Graphene OS because he fears of the Dev injecting malware.

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I have a PhD in online arguments, and I've been involved in numerous anonymous arguments with internet strangers, and I have won over 300 arguments online.

Lets say in 10 years, 3D printing technology become so advanced, almost anything can be perfectly replicated. So I find some leaked car 3d file, I download it, I print the car. What current laws would I be violating? Civil or criminal? And what future laws can you anticipate?

Not discrediting Open Source Software, but nothing is 100% safe.

Forget the porn, no corporate can ever have safe harbor for my desire of sailing in the high seas. No I will not download your app, but I will download a car, and torrents.

Both utility bills and restaurant bills are demands to satisfy a debt after the service have been rendered. And in cases of rental properties, it's refusal to pay even before the service (the legal right to reside in the property) is rendered, since most leases require paying on the first of the month. Why shouldn't they all just be considered either all civil or all criminal. I don't understand the inconsistency in legislation.

I was gonna ask about the biometrics part in a separate question, but its both about security, so might as well combine it in one post.

Okay so I don't use password managers. I just try to make easy to remember passwords 3-4 random words + 3-4 random numbers. ~~Online accounts can't be brute forced anyways.~~ Edit: I mean most websites have log in limits don't they? Maybe I've been mistaken?

For offline accounts, I just increase the words and numbers. For mobile I don't use biometrics, although I've been testing whether or not I want a pin + no biometrics or alphanumeric password + biometrics. I just can't decide.

I personally like Square Edges. Rounded just feels weird, Curved is even weirder.

The thought of this triggers my anxiety. I'm so glad Lemmy exist, but what if Lemmy didn't. What would the world look like?
