Slay the Spire has been my boo for the past two years on ny Switch Lite. I peck away at Celeste here and there but StS is just so damn well-made.
I have a retro handheld now but have paralysis analysis on what game to dive into there. Gotten through some of Advance Wars 2 and Fire Emblem on GBA as well as Lost Vikings on SNES; while also dabbling in Suikoden 1, a GBA Castlevania, and various platformers

Pretty similar since ConcernedApe based Stardew off of the original Harvest Moon, which turned into the Story of Seasons series. Better graphics but not as much depth, since games are released every few years instead of one person iterating on his one game.
I'd give Friends of Mineral Town or Pioneers of Olive Town a whirl if you're looking to scratch the same itch.

I have family in the provinces. American born halfie with very limited Tagalog knowledge. But every time I pass through Manila traffic, it is just awful. Manila is frequently on the top cities of worst traffic.
Got to one of the final screens on Abe's Exodus 20ish years ago and got stuck and walked away from the game. Definitely loved what I played of it though and heard in a Retronauts podcast that Odyssey is even better.
Soundtrack is amazing. I have a bright green Greatest Hits copy that is sitting in a shoebox in my closet waiting to be replayed.
