When you work with christian fanatics (i.e., anywhere in the US) in an office that "respects religious diversity," bullshit cultural norms are enforced.

I work out of an office within sight of a megachurch- and spend as much time in the field as possible.

I've been doing this shit since Bush. Things have gotten worse due to bootlicker apologia and you're in for a longer haul than 2 years.

Do your caucuses and primaries, sure. Local politics are important. But also point out the massive and consistent failings of party leadership and call for their removal. The DNC has to go. We have to have radical policies instead of tepid incrementalism.

The limit wasn't set at "definitely get poisoned," but "noticable risk." There was also the statistics saying the vast majority of people move before then or that the lines fail and need to be replaced anyways.

This was meant to balance safety with not bankrupting every small town for the poor decisions of the previous generation.

So for someone who likes Disgaea gameplay but always hated the story and pedophilia, this would be good?

I'm about to launch into some more serious gameplaying as I'm taking my last final of the semester in about two hours.

I've been playing Balatro and Baldurs Gate 3 when I can. BG3 is not going to be the addiction for me that it has been for so many others, I can tell. I don't want to try with a whole bunch of characters because I've already made like six characters in tabletop DnD. Balatro is the shit, though.

I'm going to download Slay the Princess once I'm back home... and maybe Dwarf Fortress if I decide I'm not wanting much of a social life this summer. It's that or redownload Disgaea 2 to try and beat.

I love colony management sims, 4x, and roguelikes.

If you see other players. Probably less awkward to try to find a club.

Organize with other parents to advocate for a later start time.

Beverly was always a self insert (like most trek characters) for professional STEM types, in this case the career doctor who loves romance novels.

Initially, pretty poor. ND Stevenson was a webcomic artist. The show was remade in order to reclaim a shitty toy commercial and make it into an examination of identity and self-worth, against a backdrop of (cartoonish) empire.

Look, if you write off the whole industry, you create a massive cultural gulf between yourself and everyone who watches anything. Meanwhile, movies like Snowpiercer or Sorry To Bother You manage to speak to people you would never dream of reaching out to.

I think the scariest thing is that it isn't a disinformation campaign. Disinformation and propaganda are part of partisan politics (for instance, Republicans still think Joe Biden wanted to defend the police and Democrats still think there's a pee tape). Just stating true facts is enough to get people arguing.

If we would just accept facts we didn't like, a lot of these foreign actors would have a lot less power.
