Are we going to get an East and West Syria? One an Israeli proxy, the other a Turkish proxy.

Ric Grenell is returning to the US with six US nationals who were in prison in Venezuela.

Bad bit, invasive species are incredibly damaging to local ecosystems oftentimes causing mass die offs, if not extinctions, of local flora and fauna. See round gobies, Asian carp, and zebra mussels in the great lakes. More often than not invasive species are introduced accidentally into ecosystems by humans, they are not naturally migrating there.
We do see migrations of animals further north as the climate warms like armadillos and deer ticks in the Americas but these are not treated as invasive species. Similarly, species not native to an ecosystem but have become naturalized and are therefore not as damaging are not treated as invasive, like European starlings, dandelions, and pigeons in North America.
Now from a Vegan POV I don't know what the best solution to invasive species would be. I have heard some vegans make the argument that invasive species control is better as it results in less animal death overall but it is difficult.
Disclaimer: I know nothing about modern tanks
Are the RPGs they're using powerful enough to damage the tanks Israel uses? I would assume the blast would mostly be deflected by the armour
So does it looks like Milei will be able to pass many of his ideas into law? From a cursory reading of what the powers of the Argentine President are, it seems like he'll struggle to legislate domestic policy with the small minority of seats his party holds in the Upper and Lower Houses
I do when I remember to turn it on 😎
I just started reading it, but the book "Drug Cartels Do Not Exist" by Oswaldo Zavala would be pretty good for this. It's about how American news and entertainment media creates the image of coherent and organized drug cartels as a enemy to rally around in order to support capitalist interests in Latin America and Mexico more specifically. People here might have heard of Zavala before because he appeared on an episode of Trueanon. I don't know if it's available for free anywhere but here's a link to the description and the book itself: https://www.vanderbiltuniversitypress.com/9780826504661/drug-cartels-do-not-exist/
It is interesting to see how much more vulnerable top military leaders are in modern conflicts. In past conflicts it seems generals and top command were often kept far away from battlefields to protect them, but that does not work anymore. I wonder how militaries will respond to this, keeping generals confined in bunkers, or spreading out command between more people to prevent a single death being devastating.
