My only gripe with the way it's handled is that the DEs will name the actual program "Files" and if you have multiple different file explorers installed they are ALL NAMED FILES! If we're doing unique names just put the unique names on there and maybe have it say (Files) next to the name. It's confusing.

Don't even get me started on when the main command for a package is something like "fastfuck" and you dont have it so you type sudo apt install fastfuck and its not called that in the fucking debian repo! So you have to start doing apt search package to find it. Until finally you realize the package is called "fuckfast" or something else slightly different.

If I were you I'd have fun with it. Submit absolutely insane AI generated resumes to shitty companies. Apply to microsoft and be like "I have extensive experience making things worse. I'd be a perfect fit at the company."

I like how she says, "Israel got 0 votes." and then just sits there. As if thats a question. Like, yes they got 0, your point is?

Because its not about the costs. It's about making sure workers stay desperate and destitute. So they can't organize.

I actually think the single most useful AI task is translating into corporate speak. You can say "Write an email telling Janet to go fuck herself but politely."

And it'll be like "Good Afternoon Janet, I hope you are doing well today..." bla bla.

Please, the tokenmaxxing meta can do better than this. Put a temperature sensor outside a data center running the AI then have the AI check temperature changes in real time and write essays on why it might be changing. As it works the data center rises temps and it has to write more as temps change. Self reinforcing token burning.

I am fully convinced that AI coding is why so many Microsoft and NVIDIA products have had major bugs lately.

When I was a kid I have memories of filling up my tray with food then when I got to the cash register to pay and my parents hadn't put money on my account they'd take the tray, throw all the food in the trash right in front of me, and give me a roll with a slice of american cheese on it. I was 5.

I remember one time when I was very young and working as cashier at a grocery store a family came through (mom, dad, and like 2 year old kid). They scanned their EBT card and it came up like 1.25$ short. The mom said she would put the bread back and I just did a manual coupon for 1.25$ to 0 out their balance instead. They acted as if I'd just done something so amazing for them but like this is a multi-million dollar company I think it can afford to give you a 1.25$ coupon so you can have bread? To me it wasn't even a big deal. We gave stupid boomers coupons to shut them up when they compained all the time. But America is so backwards that helping someone out in need is seen as a shocking thing. While it's entirely normal to give free stuff to annoying petit-bourgeois who are having a temper tandrum.

From Aljazeera: Iran Mizan news agency has reported more details on the proposal to begin a multi-layered peace process.

“America has committed to withdrawing its military forces from Iran’s surrounding environment, whether this includes forces deployed to the region or forces stationed at bases requires negotiation,” it said.

“If a final agreement is reached within a 60-day period, this agreement will be approved in the form of a binding UN Security Council resolution,” the news report added.
