congrats on the dry january and thank you for these very helpful suggestions!

i don't really get alcohol cravings so much as socially my ptsd only relaxes when i'm tipsy and trying to hang out socially while sober i usually stress myself or others out so that's something i'm trying to address in therapy. especially hanging out with my girlfriend i'm very loving and cuddly when tipsy but i'm a little tetchy and don't like to be touched and can be snippy when sober. Ugh just thinking about it is stressful.

I had a pretty great January. I successfully transitioned away from eating meat and now i'm on to culling other animal products with a goal of being vegan completely this year.

For February I want to drink less and get back on my weight loss grind. Definitely need less cannibus to make that happen.

Overall i'm feeling really good though! Like being part of this comm thank you.

ahoy comrades!!! I had a pretty good week this week. I was able to abstain from eating any meat and i'm happy about this. I also stuck to my physical therapy exercises and my legs and butt feel terrific. I was able to give myself a fifth injection and while it didn't go perfectly i think it's getting easier. I would like to have even less hesitation with it.

I did not abstain from alcohol and cannabis so that's my main focus this week, still keeping up with the other things but also no drinking and no smoking. I can do it i have everything else on lock down and now this effort can receive my full focus so no excuses this is happening.

Adorable!

I had a goofy cousin to this device the Timex Sinclair 1000. Had a ZX81 chip in it and a BASIC OS. Really cute little guy. I had a 1k ram expander unit that never got utilized but would have been cool if i had some storage media to load stuff onto or from.

Mostly i wrote basic programs.

I have had a wonderful week and a fantastic year.

W's for the week: Helped the people close to me have a lovely christmas holiday. Mostly ate vegetarian. Went to physical therapy and got some basic exercises including squats. Switched from E patches to injections!! working towards monotherapy and no anti androgens.

L's for the week: Had alcohol and regretted it. Had meat that i probably could have avoided and feel guilty for that. freaked out on my girlfriend a couple times. Misgendered a friend at my poker game. Going to be working hard at all of these this week.

For the year my big wins are learning to love and accept myself. Becoming a woman. Losing 75lbs. Cutting my cholesterol in half and changing to a mostly whole foods diet and giving up most meat and dairy. I'm very, very happy with this year!!

In the next year i want to get my room finished, get some projects done, establish a solid workout routine and learn to make more vegan dishes especially with mushrooms.

For the next week specifically i need to clean my room and work on my server project and do my pt and not drink and not eat meat.

I love you comrades thank you for the support and encouragement!

Hello friends! Thank you for including me in this i'm excited to get hyped with you all!

Last week I stayed sober except for last night. I thought just going out and having one or two drinks would be safe since I have been doing really well generally. This was a mistake and i ended up drinking too much and feel like crap. So that's a lesson learned to me again (how many times do i gotta learn this) there is never enough and not sober me will make poor choices so better to just not put myself in that position.

I mostly didn't eat meat last week but did eat a little bit, cooking meals for others that include meat offers so much opportunity to nibble!

This week i'm not having any alcohol even on christmas.

I'm going to try to not eat meat. I'm going to get a bag of soy curls tomorrow and try to eat them wherever i'm tempted by the meat they are sooo good. More jackfruit sausages too even though they are super processed.

I have physical therapy this week so i'm hoping they give me some low impact exercises i can do to plump up my bottom!

edit: they stopped selling the soy curls. darthvader nooooo.gif

I liked the caddies. They felt very computery which i enjoyed.

My first was a WORM magneto optical drive that used caddies in i guess 1988. They were already pretty cheap by then - $5 per caddy and $6-8 per WORM disc - but with downloads limited by the 2400 baud modem I never really had much to put on em! It played compact discs and read CD-ROM media as well so mostly it played the beach boys and Myst!

domestic water pressure varies around 30-80 PSI. Faucet has to deal with smoothly managing that pressure at all times (on 2 lines) while allowing selective amounts out daily for years.

The $12 ones on Ali Express will leak and break within a year. That $60 Kohler faucet may go 10 years before you need to replace a washer and 20 years with no issues before it gets replaced. Kohler faucets also have a limited lifetime warranty against leaks. I assume other higher end manufacturers offer something similar.

When measured against the expected use it's a pretty good bargain unless you get one that's super fancy with unnecessary add ons.
