They are either delusional or manipulative. In Russia’s advantage it is politically more stable long term than any Western government which could at any moment elect a government that doesn’t want to continue the war

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s infamous line uttered shortly before the start of the war about how the region was quieter than it had been in decades reflected how much the administration had come to believe its own press releases.
They could have asked any Arab or read what we were saying, if they cared to know. Instead they go to extreme lengths to silence us and drown our voices with propaganda. “Inventing reality” is what it is.
The tactics seen here should be useful to all people fighting to liberate themselves from oppressive regimes.
If we Middle Easterners don’t drag the US into another losing multi-decade conflict, then we have let the Palestinians down. The martyrs need to be avenged and the US is the target.

I always thought it was funny that people in the US think we are afraid of their military when we always wanted their warmongering politicians to win elections and so that they get stuck here. “Who do our enemies want to win?” I can guarantee you Billie Bob Frank, that we want the one who is threatening us with invasions.
I hope the US loses to Hamas like it lost to Taliban. I hope it spend billions on top of billions with nothing to show for it.
