Im not a dev so idk about that tbh. But i know atleast that programs have issues with it. Its pretty good these days but some stuff still has to use Xwayland as a compatibility layer.

It sounds like something a 13 year old would come up with not that mine is much more mature

Are you actually this deluded lol Biden literally sent Isntreal all the bombs they used to turn gaza into a demolition site as Trump puts it. They laid the groundwork for what Trumps doing now, and not once did they ever attempt to stop the genocide. Which they easily could have done by simply not sending more bombs.

This isnt even a new thing. Trump just doesnt have the tact to lie about it. The US policy on Gaza hasnt changed AT ALL with the admin change. But the only thing you liberals care about is optics.

Maybe im wrong but with ARM being the new cpu architecture, rust being new, wayland coming into maturity, etc, it appears as though there might end up being a more x86/x11/C focused legacy kernel and a forked ARM/Wayland/Rust focused new generation one.

Which honestly im fine with. And kinda makes sense. Especially if we get into an era where stuff like x86 starts to get phased out entirely. Which i think we will in the next decade or so. Remains to be seen if thatll happen but i think theres a decent chance at this point.

Im not a democrat or a liberal but i figure maybe if i answer for them theyll all come along to "correct" me and get you more traction. The answer is they wont do anything. Because they are complicit and would rather support fascists than support even the most moderate leftist in the world. Also they are cowards who benefit from the system and dont want to give up their treats. They might make some symbolic gesture of fake resistance every now and then but thats about it.

When manfuacturers are making their new hardware they do the work of making sure whatever OS they want on it will work flawlessly. Most machines are not made with Linux in mind but the community comes in once released and does the work to get it working. If manufacturers did that work prior to release it would be fine. Companies do exist that specialize in Linux machines that do work like this.

One of the main reasons it takes so long for new stuff to get support is the linux devs doing that work themselves need access to the hardware to make it work. They arent made of money tho, and cant go buy every new piece of hardware as soon as it releases.

Its a matter of manufacturer support vs community support. Typically community support takes longer to get rolling but also lasts much longer. A combination of the 2 would be ideal, but manufacturers would have to cooperate.

Lol. The top 4 producers are China, Russia, the DPRK and Vietnam? Get rekt westerners. WW3 will be a cakewalk for China at this rate. Theyre even building their new mine in the ROK within range of chinese missiles. Does the US want to lose? Is this self sabotage? I love it if so.

Is there a region of the world where America isnt funding terrorism?

I suspect these rumors have been spread by feds who dont like Americans seeing China outside their own media spin. Ive seen the rumors around a lot and it seems it isnt the case according to users within China.

This is a blatant attempt at damage control by the west imo. Convince people the chinese are blocking them and try to undo the damage thats been done to their narrative. Hopefully people dont fall for it. I worry it will stop more people from checking out the app tho.

No more debates in these elections they suck. From now on the candidates all come up with a cool Halloween costume and everyone votes for whose costume was best on election day. Only rule is NO AMERICA THEMED COSTUMES. No lady liberty, uncle sam, etc. Thats just lame. i wanna see Trump dressed up in one of those dinosaur costumes the kids wear.

You silly poors might think that them being piloted remotely by literal humans is stupid, and pointless when the human could just use their own body. But what you fail to understand is that now we don't have to look at our servants, and can pretend that theyre robots, and not humans we have forced into a VR headset at gunpoint. I used to feel bad when my servants would cry about their cancer ridden child not being able to afford medical care, but now i just hit the mute button on my tesla bot! 30,000$ well spent!

I am sure everyone reading this is already aware of how AI hallucinates things on accident, and while that is a problem I've noticed something else thats actually worrying me a lot more. Basically i think that there are groups purposefully using AI to generate random information that doesnt exactly push any specific narrative like you might expect, but just confuses things in general. Like someone posted an article on another instance about AI wikipedia articles about fake events.

I know the Dead Internet Theory is a thing, but im starting to suspect that rather than just being an accidental thing, or a product of click farming there is a concerted effort to make it almost impossible to find reliable information on the internet. This would make sense from the perspective of the elitist status quo types as until the internet they had a really firm grasp on information. It was all controlled by universities, and media companies. I'm wondering if the goal is to make it back to a time like that. Where the general public is so confused and unable to access real information that they get easier to control. Making the internet useless for anything other than mindless entertainment.

I'm just preparing myself mentally for all the AI generated conspiracy theories people are gonna start believing.
