I'm interpreting this to be a "mask off" moment. It was a very obvious mask. Israel clearly always wanted to settle in Gaza. Israel was saying things such as "Israel has a right to defend itself" and claiming that they were only targeting Hamas.

The reason that they are probably going mask off now is because Israel has blocked food to Gaza for the last 65-ish days. Israel is using starvation as a weapon. They are making the calculation that mass starvation has created the opportunity to permanently occupy Gaza and expel all of the Gaza population.

~~I tried to find a way to watch the full TV episode. It seems to be only possible if you have an IP address in Israel. There's the 6 minute clip of the show uploaded to youtube in my other comment.~~

Okay I figured it out. I can watch the full episode when I disable my ad blocker. The whole website is in hebrew.

Here's another clip of the show where Jake Sullivan is pledging loyalty to Israel.

Dismantling sanctuary cities will have the opposite effect of "pursuing criminals". The whole point of sanctuary cities is that it made undocumented migrants willing to speak to the police as witnesses. Now undocumented migrants won't report any crime that they witness because of fear of deportation.

This is a continuation of Biden policy. I recall Biden saying that he wanted South Korea and Japan to join NATO at the NATO summit last summer.

It's a developing story. Claudia Sheinbaum announced that she had made a deal with Trump to delay the 25% tariff for 1 month. As part of the deal, Mexico is placing 10,000 Nation Guard members on the Mexico-US border.

A group called "US out of Korea" gave a speech at the March on DNC 2024 protests. It seems pretty cool.

it's the onion. it's a parody of right wing cartoonists. it's like parody Ben Garrison.

the comic in the OP is meant to being making fun of the way that conservative men view women. the same people are in both panels and the adult son resembles the man, same clothing and hair. the comic says "forge a relationship with my adult son", however it safe to say that the son belongs to both of them. the comic portrays the man as the victim, despite him being an absent father to his own son.

Just Stop Oil released a press statement on their website.

One of the protestors said:
"We’re living in two worlds: one where billionaires live in luxury, able to fly in private jets away from the other, where unlivable conditions are being imposed on countless millions. Meanwhile, this system that is allowing extreme wealth to be accrued by a few, to the detriment of everyone else, is destroying the conditions necessary to support human life in a rapidly accelerating never-ending ‘cruel summer’. Billionaires are not untouchable, climate breakdown will affect every single one of us."

The other protestor said:
“Over the years, I’ve had to realise that even working in sustainability provides me with essentially no ability to make the necessary changes to prevent the complete collapse of our natural systems. I have to take desperate measures to make my voice heard. In 2024 we all have to be considering what we can do each day to change the course our society is on. We need an emergency treaty to stop the extraction and burning of oil, gas and coal by 2030.”

Yes. There was a surge of streams that were testing the boundaries of the new rule. I think Twitch may have revoked the rule because they were overwhelmed by how many streams were testing the limits.

"Bro I've been thinking about becoming an artist lately. Check out this painting I did while I was high on DMT. I glued a dollar bill to the canvas and wrote 'I am your god' on it"

"I've been saving money lately. This summer me and my buddy Zack are going to burning man. No dude, burning man is not something you can explain, you just have to be there."

"Bro we should install these speakers into my car. My buddy gave me these car speakers because he owed me money. I don't know how to do it. It can't be that hard."

"You remember Dave? He just a bunch of money because someone drove their car into bar he was at. Yeah, he's fine now. He's using the settlement money to buy a dirt bike."
