Would that even work? Intuitively (I dont remember anything about chem) I would guess that you could take a portion of a tums to get the same effect as alkaline water, but wouldn't be able to achieve the opposite. If you drank an enormous amount of alkaline water such that your stomach acid volume is negligible then the ph of the solution would just be the alkaline water ph, right?

Going from book 3 to 4 is a fun and wild jump, although I don't recall reading much past 4 if at all. Might be time for a re-read, haven't read past book 2 since high school.

I feel ya. I was at least getting some callbacks this time last year but haven't heard much since July from any employers. Tried different resume formats, cover letters, lying about more experience, but nada.
Anothet weird thing is that my employer has complained for at least 5 years that hiring engineers and devs is so difficult, yet we keep seeing all these layoffs in tech. Maybe pay people better? Idk it isn't hard to ask the workers why their industry colleagues don't want to work for you even when they have few other choices.

Yes! It is so annoying. Was at a work dinner recently and the person next to me insisted on asking about my diet, making excuses for themselves (and how hard they try, and ethics are complicated, etc), then apologized for eating meat near me.
I literally never brought it up. You are insisting you are doing something wrong, just drop it lmao. Not like I'm going to start something with senior people in the workplace over their diet.
