Yesterday I started playing Songs of Conquest, it came out of early access this year. It's a spiritual successor to Heroes of Might and Magic III. I've played for around 3 hours and so far I'm enjoying it. As a fan of HOMM3, it hasn't disappointed me. The tactics gameplay is fun and engaging.

Before that, I started playing the Multiverse mod for FTL - Faster Than Light. The writing is not great but overall I like it since it adds a lot of new content. I like that one of the bad guys factions is explicitly fascist so I can bash the space fash. fash-bash

I use the Insight Timer app, it has a lot of free guided meditations. They are great because you just need to listen to the instructions. Here are some of my favourites:

Breathing Meditation - Jack Kornfield

Time to Unwind - Meg James

Five Minutes Of Self Compassion

I recommend starting with some guided meditations, then when you get the hang of it you can just set the timer with bells in that app and do it on your own.

Pro tip: don't get discouraged when your mind wanders. People think that meditation means that your head needs to be empty and free from thoughts, but that's nearly impossible. The point is to notice that your attention has wandered and focus back on the thing that you were focusing on (usually the breath).

I also recommend listening to the "10% Happier" podcast. It's a great podcast about mindfulness, meditation, Buddhism and related topics. It has a deep backlog and a lot of interesting guests.

I completely agree. When I was in a depression, I kept falling into negative feedback loops - for example, you stay up late, then feel like shit the next day, eat unhealthy food and sit all day. That's why I'm trying to create positive feedback loops, which is what you described.

You are goddamn right that I voted for Kamala Harris in 2016 and I will do it again in 2024. She is the only one who can wield the power of Venn Diagrams in order to heal America
