why don't they get those other rights with enfranchisement?

ton of death machine?

because that endangers others too

Drinking age?

because alcohol negatively effects development

Age of consent for sex

because teenagers have sex anyway; making it illegal would only be harmful

worth repeating the KEEP YOUR PRIVATE KEY SECURE part if you’re trusting a root - if you trust a root, it may be able to issue a TRUSTED cert for other domains - mybank.com, etc and leave you open to attack

your statement is true however that doesn’t mean that correlation does not imply cause.. the cause is fucking obvious to anyone that has more than 2 brain cells to rub together

that’s literally what this is about

idk about you but i don’t carry around $10,000 cash… i do however carry around my phone, which (assuming someone has that) has access to transfer that, and more

that’s SO wrong… in australia our doctors and surgeons FREQEUENTLY tell us to take both ibuprofen and paracetamol (which is what most of the world calls acetaminophen) together

perhaps you’re thinking of taking and

ie do not take tylenol and paracetamol/acetaminophen, since they’re the same and you’re double dosing

to add:

too much paracetamol/acetaminophen causes liver damage

too much ibuprofen effects your stomach, intestines, and kidneys

their overdose effects are different

fyi tylenol is a brand name drug of paracetamol (or in the US i believe acetaminophen)

i believe it and ibuprofen relieve different causes of pain, and in australia we’re advised that both paracetamol/acetaminophen and ibuprofen work well in conjunction

… also ibuprofen and caffeine are acrually a great combo for pain relief! so much so they they sell the combination as a product

this changes nothing: microsoft should have sent a patch remains microsoft should have sent a patch; internal policies are irrelevant to actions effecting external projects

the up side of flip flopping is that it still results in some amount of effective net neutrality… in order to develop products and build customers for them, ISPs need to actually be sure they’re going to be able to continue to offer them… industries aren’t going to rely on fast lanes, etc until they’re pretty sure they aren’t going to go away

i’d say that it’s a security vulnerability, but breach implies it’s been used

whilst i kinda agree, i don’t think it was intentional on their part (as with most of these controversies)… i think they paid a 3rd party for an artwork, and then that 3rd party took shortcuts - whether whole cloth, or with things like content aware fill - and wacom didn’t ask questions (which they probably should have, because this image in particular is really obviously AI generated)

they should all probably update their contracts to ensure artwork is 100% done by a human with big penalties for infringement though - they just haven’t caught up because it’s a relatively new problem
