Probably. See weird names and emails from what’s obviously the same person all the time.

SIR KEIR STARMER could face a parliamentary sleaze inquiry into claims he lied to MPs over the Peter Mandelson scandal.

The Commons will vote tomorrow whether to refer the Prime Minister to the privileges committee to consider if he misled the house over the way Lord Mandelson’s appointment as ambassador to the US was handled.

Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle allowed a vote on the issue following requests from Tory leader Kemi Badenoch and other senior MPs.

Cabinet minister Emma Reynolds accused the Tories of playing “silly political games” over the issue.

Kabul (AFP) – The Taliban government said on Saturday that Afghans who fled to Qatar, fearing reprisals over their collaboration with US forces, may return home "with full confidence".

The administration of US President Donald Trump, which has made a sweeping crackdown on immigration a signature policy, had given a March 31 deadline to close a camp where more than 1,100 Afghans were staying at a former US base in Qatar.

Afghans have been going through the base for processing while seeking to move to the United States, fearing persecution by Taliban authorities for having worked with US forces before they withdrew and the Western-backed government collapsed in 2021.

"According to media reports, a number of Afghan nationals who had been awaiting US visas in the State of Qatar have been asked to choose between the repatriation to Afghanistan or resettlement in a third country," foreign ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi said in a statement posted on X.

"Afghanistan constitutes the shared homeland of all Afghans & it invites all those concerned... (to) return to their homeland, whose doors remain open to them, with full confidence & peace of mind."

Haven’t read Orion. Arborification?

Orson Scott Card is a curious cat. He seems quite intelligent and open-minded until we get to his homophobia. It would be irresponsible not to speculate…

If you want to see philosophers duke it out, read Orson Scott Card’s Alvin Maker series alongside Robert Anton Wilson’s Illuminatus! trilogy.

Donald Trump has again said that the US has “total control over the strait of Hormuz”, adding that Iran’s leadership was so hobbled by infighting that it was unclear who was in charge.

But the US president’s claim seemed questionable in the face of the seizure of two container ships by Iranian commandos and a US report warning it could take six months to clear the strait of mines.
