devs can assign keys to specific promotions, and mass recall unactivated keys and activated games from people's accounts, so yeah this is possible even though needs to be done manually, but most devs don't do it
the taskbar still broken and unusable.
icons straight up disappear when you switch virtual desktops using the touchpad, tray icons sometimes don't show up, messing with some things can cause an explorer crash
there crappy things are basically made to be thrown away, they're not even supposed to outlive their software support range.
well it's an improvement...
basically the tracking is still there but runs locally on your phone, so google only knows this
someone with ip 1.2.3.4 is interested in sports, cats and videogames and is looking to purchase a new monitor
(and the info is sent with every ad request, statelessly) google promises they won't associate these requests with ip addresses, but I won't trust them.
instead of a full log like:
user x with tracking id 12345 visited catworld.com at 10:34:56 PM and stayed there for 35 seconds
user x with tracking id 12345 made a purchase on website shoptech.com and was scrolling through the monitors page for 10 minutes.
it's still tracking but it sucks less i guess...
and making it a default is probably a great move
(I'd rather opt out of any form of tracking tho)
it's a fun toy, not super useful but probably fun to tinker with
I've done some ungodly stuff to my android phones (even non-rooted ones, I'm totally abusing them) and I can't even imagine all the possibilities with a proper linux distro. Having a pocket pc with a full arm64 linux sounds awesome
Safari isn't open source but there's Gnome Web.
It's built on the open source WebKit engine.
also yeah you made a mistake there. webkit is in fact foss.
I'd say Viber is worse (unbearably slow, has ads), and it's the most used messaging app in Ukraine which just sucks. (basically everyone has it)
people are slowly switching over to Telegram but it still has less then 50% market share...
yeah there are three uis:
- sh.reddit.com - default for logged off users, mostly works without js, uses simpler pagination system then new reddit.
- new.reddit.com - the most bloated one, painfully slow, tracks your every move even with ublock, only accessible for logged in users after the recent update
- old.reddit.com - good ol' old reddit ui, don't really like it but it's... bearable unlike new reddit (loads instantly). With some CSS userstyles and scripts it's still usable...
Amazon blocked my account while trying to purchase a gift card and are now demanding proof of ownership of the gift card they just refused to sell to me????
