You're misreading this, comrade. He's making a perfectly reasonable statement about how academics from Berklee and other prestigious music colleges look down on Weird Al Yankovic, and it's a real problem that must be taken seriously.
Coincidentally, the typographically similar A1 steak sauce also is being looked down upon these days, which is also a serious problem.
