Maybe I'm underestimating the incredible power of the modern camera drone, but wouldn't getting dive bombed by one be the equivalent of someone throwing a plastic toy at you?
I mean, it wouldn't feel great? I assume dive bombing is only an option after the pepper munitions are used up. But yeah, its not really going to end the threat. A delay at best. Which is also what the people selling this were careful to note: about how this is just to get LEO more time to get on scene.
the cops proceed to send in more drones until the shooter runs out of ammo
Comrade you know we have the lathe around these parts, please do not post like that in the vicinity.

It would probably destroy the drone, which means more sales for the drone company!
They might’ve watched one too many Ukraine combat vids
Well the DJI FPV weighs 795 grams and has a top speed if 87 MPH. That means its impact energy could be as much as 443 ft/lbs upon impact. For reference, a 9mm gun firing a 115 grain (not gram) projectile at 1180 fps generates about 356 ft/lbs of energy and that's just at the muzzle. Bullets are traveling slower the farther they travel where as a drone could be accelerating upon impact.
Yes, drones can be very dangerous.
Though that 443 ft/lbs is also spread out over a much larger area than a bullet, and unless the shooter is outside, they won't really have the space to get anywhere close to their maximum speed.
I feel like if drones were really this deadly, we'd hear a lot more about people using them as weapons, because it sounds much better (and quite possibly cheaper) than using a gun to kill someone.
they do use them, as weapons they just make them explode at the end too.
Drones definitely can accelerate rapidly if designed to operate that way. See below.
