Why are you bringing up Star Trek? That's fiction.
It may be fiction, but (Post-WWIII) it's a blueprint worth following. IMO it's the most realistic likelihood of a 'true' utopia i.e. not a perfect utopia that's secretly/under the surface dystopia.
