Hmmm, it seems that trolls have invaded AskLemmy.

Ok, I'm all in favor of some rather radical questions on here, but come on.

I am seriously thinking of commissioning a simple tungsten cube emblazoned with cuneiform style figures, set up on a stainless steel platform. For the legacy. For someone millions of years from now.

I really love to listen to a wide variety of music. Beethoven, Biz Markie, Salieri, Nina Simone, etc. but I just... never really watched Music Videos until recently. I am astounded that I simply missed out on decades of visual feast. Nine Inch Nails - Closer. George Michael, Freedom '90, an entire decade of MIssy Ellliot nonsense, and of course Aha.

What, in your opinion, is the best music video that you are sure I will like? I'm old, as evidenced by my grammar and lack of spelling.

I'm astonished that he did this. It's the most cringe clickbaity youtube video that is also not at all cringe or clickbaity at the same time. Just give it a watch, you'll see.

Wait... If the plants are whispering to my cat late at night. Is that why the little fucker spazzes out and goes crazy all over the house at 3 am?

[-] Crackhappy@lemmy.world 113 points 5 months ago

This so stupid and unexpectedly hilarious.

I use a mouse jiggler while I'm working because I often spend quite a bit of time just thinking through data structures and code composition and Teams is absolutely sure that I'm away from my desk if it's more than 5 minutes.

I hate to say this, but do you know what he's done to rehabilitate himself? Do you know why he's allowed to work there? Have you talked to management about what you discovered?

All of your questions are very very leading. Of course we deplore rape. However, despite what you may think, we should all be given a chance to redeem ourselves.

I can understand why you fear for the safety of yourself and others around you. If you do nothing, that is entirely on you. But I do hope that you have compassion and a sense of forgiveness in your heart too. For all you know, you can also be surrounded by thieves and murderers, but none of those are publicly branded.

I urge you to bring this to the management's attention. Talk to your female coworkers and let them know.

Man, when the Pro lifetime comes out I'm there but at this point I'm not going to engage at all with either being tracked by advertisers or being forced to go through all that. There are other open source apps that don't do any of that which may not be quite as good but the difference is worth it. Lemmy doesn't have any ads. Why should I subject myself to ads or being tracked to use what is already free?
