Its been some time since xitter, reddit, and other sites began paywalling their API, causing third party integrations and apps to collapse.

I'm wondering, did any of these sites end up with paying customers for the API? Are there examples of third parties paying to continue their services? These sites sacrificed massive amounts of community and developer good will to privatize the internet - how did it work out for them long term?

I went through the worst depression of my life around 2017, tried to express these feelings to my gf at the time and explain why our romance was failing or why I spent half the day in bed.

Basically got told "poor you", everyone has struggles, snap out of it and be a man. That definitely helped, and didn't push me even deeper into feelings of worthlessness..

I'm doing ok now, but it was the first time I felt comfortable enough with someone to express those emotions, I was at my wits end. The response was eye opening, never again.

When you turn on your PC and notice that there’s a huge Christmas banner on your desktop, do not panic – your device is not compromised.

Hah, well a vendor just pushed unapproved executable to the device and ran it without consent. Under any definition or other context it's definitely compromised.

Jeep used to be a treasured American brand. But after Stellantis bought the iconic brand, workers say execs slashed jobs and quality to drive up profits. Now customers say the new $80,000 Jeep Wagoneer has mechanical issues fresh off the lot.

Video dives deeper than problems with the new jeep highlighting worker grievances on the line, customer experience failures and union struggles.

NSFW not always blurred? (sh.itjust.works)

I'm not sure if this a bug in the new version or something else at play, but several explicitly marked NSFW posts in my feed have been unblurred as I scroll today. It's not every post, just some. Viewing the comments and backing out blurs the image correctly. Might be worth investigating.

Edit: enough ppl in this thread confirming, I'll get a GitHub issue opened after dinner.

"I got involved with the Taliban" simply isn't a phase I thought I'd hear from a candidate, in any context.

Returning and finding everything done is equally suspicious. That's when you have to take a closer look and discover what spaghetti made it through peer review.

Obviously, why wouldn't he? This is potentially the dumbest argument ever heard in a court room and we're all supposed to sit here and entertain its plausibility. What a joke.

Why did they replace the barrel with a chest? Come on guys, this isn't hard. The barrel is rum, the rum is the treasure. Smh

The protests are that much more notable because the pharmacists don't have a union and aren't asking for better pay. They primarily want their employers to hire more staff to alleviate the workload and to eliminate policies that push them to work faster. They say those conditions are making it more likely they will make a mistake that could harm a patient.

Highlighting because people don't read articles - they are protesting to ensure patients are safe from the speed of greed. I for one would like my medication properly compounded and dosed. Good for these workers, get them more hands.

misogyny is a skill issue

Always has been, weak men can't stand women outpacing them, this is not limited to gaming but basically anything and everything.
