They clicked discard changes, confirmed it, and the computer did as instructed. This operation is normally not so destructive as it only discards uncommitted changes to realign the local directory with the remote server. Unfortunately for user, it sounds like they have never committed a change, so realignment meant reverting to an empty folder.

All or most of the "powerful" countries being involved, usually directly. Basically take a look at the top military powers, if majority are active boots on ground, running military strategies, fighting and taking a wartime position domestically, you've got a world war.

Really though it's a new-ish term, and highly subjective. WW1 was the Great War until it popped off again. For a modern thought experiment - could the war on terror be considered a world war? Much of the world's fighting power was dragged into it to some degree, but most people would say no.

Long story short, it's a 'world war' when historians decide it was.

Hi, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but when I try to crosspost from communities on other instances (ie. Lemmy.ml/c/linux) to communities on my instance (sh.itjust.works/c/linux), the local community does not appear as an option. Even when I try to type in the fully qualified community name it will not show up.

This does not seem to happen with every community, and I think maybe it has something to do with a large number of results truncating smaller communities from the list?

If anyone has a workaround or can help me understand how to crosspost better, I'd much appreciate it.

My domestic cats seem to locate any open available cardboard box and happily plop themselves into it. This got me thinking, would outdoor cats settle into a random box they find as easily too? What about big cats?

Edit- fixed title

"I got involved with the Taliban" simply isn't a phase I thought I'd hear from a candidate, in any context.

Returning and finding everything done is equally suspicious. That's when you have to take a closer look and discover what spaghetti made it through peer review.

I have a problem with my International Space Station 21321 set, all the blue clips that hold the panels to the main beams are crumbling, and weakened enough that I wake up to panels on the floor. I have no idea why this is happening, but hoping someone can help? Ideas I can do different to prevent it after I replace these parts? It seems to effect all the blue clips not just the big ones, even the little pod lost one of its solar panels :(

Some details, it's probably 4 years old now. I keep it on display but not under glass, in a 72f room. I have difficulty keeping it totally dust free as it's very fragile to begin with, but it's never really been touched otherwise.

Thanks for any ideas

Edit: not the technic connectors, the blue solar panel pattern tiles are the problem

Obviously, why wouldn't he? This is potentially the dumbest argument ever heard in a court room and we're all supposed to sit here and entertain its plausibility. What a joke.

Why did they replace the barrel with a chest? Come on guys, this isn't hard. The barrel is rum, the rum is the treasure. Smh

The protests are that much more notable because the pharmacists don't have a union and aren't asking for better pay. They primarily want their employers to hire more staff to alleviate the workload and to eliminate policies that push them to work faster. They say those conditions are making it more likely they will make a mistake that could harm a patient.

Highlighting because people don't read articles - they are protesting to ensure patients are safe from the speed of greed. I for one would like my medication properly compounded and dosed. Good for these workers, get them more hands.
