Never forget that the same people lecturing you on ‘muh basic economics’ also think:

  • austerity literally for austerity’s sake is the most economically sound idea

  • protectionism is good

  • Income inequality is good and porky can handle all the consumer spending all by himself

  • trickle-down will start working any second now

  • we should subsidize oil

  • car-centric infrastructure is our top priority and walkable cities with public transportation is the only form of ‘austerity’ they don’t like

  • that we should keep the number of participants in the economy as small as humanly possible because “muh efficiency”
