Also so my dad doesn't, like, starve it to death or something psychotically. Not great. Although I think I did some good things today at least.
Should I go leave a wet rag for it to suck on or something maybe? I don't know animals.
I can't tell the size from the picture but it looks like it could be too young to eat solid food yet, it's possible it would need to be fed formula with a syringe. This is tough for a non-professional because it's easy to accidently put it in their windpipe. A humane society/vet/animal control might pick it up but they might not for squirrels if they don't have the resources as they are common and not endangered typically.
A kitten bottle might work. Choose uncut nipples so the hole can be small enough not to drown it.
Eta: you would probably also need to gently massage genitals and butt to stimulate elimination not kidding, that's why you see mother cats licking their kittens there, their muscles haven't learned to move there yet.
Gunna' go put a shoebox with a hole in the side cut out and a wet cloth inside it. That's about all I can do without alerting my dad, I think.
Can you take it to a center for wild animals?
I guess I'll email them and ask if they do squirrels. I'd have to bike it over there or they'd have to come here or something.
is the baby injured? maybe there was a drey that they fell out of if you found them below some trees or something like that 😨
They were on the ground just outside the garage under the roof overhang where I suspect it might have fell, but I'm not sure.
