I never watched an X-men, nor the old Dune, so for me Patrick Stewart is Jean-Luc Picard.

[-] LadyButterfly@piefed.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 month ago

Agree! When I see him in other things I'm like "oh hai Picard"

Jason Alexander is cemented in my memory as George Costanza.

William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy as Kirk and Spock in the early Startrek films and series.

Same for Brent Spiner as Data.

Lucy Lawless will forever be Xena the Warrior Princess.

[-] Findus_Falke@feddit.org 3 points 1 month ago

For me, it's David Tennant as The Doctor. It was very strange seeing him in Good Omens.

[-] mintiefresh@piefed.social 3 points 1 month ago

Jaleel White is forever Steve Urklel.

Alfonso Ribeiro is Carlton.

[-] BowserBasher@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Sarah Michelle Gellar will always be Buffy Summers to me.

[-] Suck_on_my_Presence@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

I somehow missed Buffy growing up, so my first exposure was of her as Daphne in the Scooby Doo movie.

I think now that I've watched a lot of Buffy, those two balance out for me.

Daniel Radcliffe.

After seeing Swiss Army Man, I can never not see him as a useful corpse. He nailed that role.

[-] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 month ago

Prince will always be, for me, the guy who played Prince in Purple Rain.

Ryan Reynolds Van Wilder

[-] shalafi@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Surely you meant Darryl Dixon?

[-] davidgro@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Danny Trejo is of course Machete (or Uncle Machete to the Spy Kids) - even if he does occasionally rangle Rancors or other roles.

(But only when I can see him. I had no idea he had that many voice roles until looking him up just now)

[-] Zwuzelmaus@feddit.org 1 points 1 month ago

Sarah Jessica Parker is Carrie Bradshaw.

[-] Onomatopoeia@lemmy.cafe 1 points 1 month ago

Roger Moore as Bond - he wasn't the best Bond, just that he played that character for like 30 years, starting with The Saint in the 60's.

Once you see him there, it's hard to see him as anything else.

[-] Goldholz@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Peter Lustig. But he also played himself and had full power over his show.

Martin Freeman as Bilbo

Til Schweiger as his arrogant asshole self

[-] sanguinepar@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Idris Elba and Dominic West will always be Stringer Bell and Jimmy McNulty for me.

[-] neidu3@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Young Guns will forever in my head have Jack Bauer in a leading role.

[-] Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 month ago

Joe Rogan is Joe Garrelli in News Radio

Dude, Walter, Donnie and the Jesus from The Big Lebowski. Whenever I see Turturro play any other role, he's so bland and normal.

[-] Nusm@piefed.zip 0 points 1 month ago

For me Turturro will always be Pete from Oh Brother, Where Art Thou.

“Do not… seek… the treasure.”

I think if you watch Severance, he does a really good job of changing your perspective, because I had the same feeling going into Severance, and now I feel different.

[-] rob_t_firefly@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago
