There were two “Reigns of Terror,” if we would but remember it and consider it; the one wrought murder in hot passion, the other in heartless cold blood; the one lasted mere months, the other had lasted a thousand years; the one inflicted death upon ten thousand persons, the other upon a hundred millions; but our shudders are all for the “horrors” of the minor Terror, the momentary Terror, so to speak; whereas, what is the horror of swift death by the axe, compared with lifelong death from hunger, cold, insult, cruelty, and heart-break? What is swift death by lightning compared with death by slow fire at the stake? A city cemetery could contain the coffins filled by that brief Terror which we have all been so diligently taught to shiver at and mourn over; but all France could hardly contain the coffins filled by that older and real Terror—that unspeakably bitter and awful Terror which none of us has been taught to see in its vastness or pity as it deserves.

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.

https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine

Almost every Western media outlet.

https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.

https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

Last week's discussion post.

Very interesting articles to contrast the attitudes in the media towards South Africa in 1985 and Palestine now. And what O.R Tambo was saying. Well worth reading.

Tambo said that the ANC will not criticize or try to restrain the kind of violence that occurred last week in the Cape Town area, in which nonwhites attacked the homes of white civilians. "We wouldn't be in a hurry to condemn people who have suffered something like 600 to 700 dead shot down by police at the insistence of a government elected by whites. We couldn't," Tambo said.

In Washington, the State Department said South African police have used "excessive force" to maintain order and also criticized the recent call by the African National Congress for greater violence as "irresponsible."

The more things change, the more they stay the same...

Given Iran's support of Palestine along with Syria, DPRK and others. I think now is a very good moment to speak to any soft-left friends that are still supporting Palestine and explain to them that this is exactly why our "critical support" has always been a thing.

They can't ignore that the people working to give real material support to something that they support are all the places that they've criticised us in the past for having "critical support" for. What would they do without all of these places we critically support? The palestinian people would be alone and there would be absolutely no pressures that make their complete and total genocide harder.

Like, this is a very serious moment that demonstrates exactly who the anti-imperialists are and who aren't.

By attacking Israeli settlements and forcing mass evacuations (something like 90% of evacuees aren't returning) Hamas probably wiped billions of dollars of value off the real estate market and untold billions more in tech by embarrassing Israel's occupation technologies.

The Flood from Gaza - Israel's elites and public have been dealt the biggest blow to their morale in 50 years.

Now we know why Mohammad Deif, the leader of Hamas' military wing in the Gaza Strip, disappeared from public view after the 'Sword of Jerusalem' campaign nearly two years ago. He was making plans and preparations for a counterstrike against Israel. On Saturday, he emerged, alongside Hamas spokesman 'Abu-Obaida,' to announce it.

They declared the start of 'Operation al-Aqsa Flood,' describing it as a battle to end the longest occupation on the planet. Thousands of rockets were launched within a matter of minutes, confounding Israel's much-hyped air defense systems, while Palestinian resistance fighters broke out of the besieged territory to storm Israeli settlements in the Gaza Envelope.

The images of the operation posted on social media were astonishing: Merkava tanks on fire; their Israeli occupation soldiers being dragged out and pleading for mercy; Israeli settlers fleeing in panic, their appeals for help going unheeded. At this writing, more than 100 Israelis (now well over 700) had been reported killed, thousands injured, and scores captured to be used as bargaining chips for the release of Palestinian prisoners held by Tel Aviv.

The impact on the morale of Israel's elites and public has been enormous. The country's political, security, and military establishments have been dealt their biggest blow in 50 years, since the October 1973 war. When an army ranked as the world's fourth most powerful cannot prevent or react to the targeting of supposedly secure settlers in Israel 'proper,' that is a sign of serious decline.

Regardless of how events unfold in the days and weeks to come, the resistance has achieved a huge victory. This is a long war. Israel may unleash death and destruction on a gigantic scale, but it will not emerge unscathed itself. And if it escalates into a regional war on multiple fronts, the writing will be clearly on the wall.

The thought, planning, and management that went into this operation match anything taught at the world's top military academies. When videos of fighters training for it were posted on social media, they were ridiculed by Israel and its ‘normalized’ Arab allies. So much for all those Sandhurst and West Point graduates. Mohammad Deif never claimed any military title, but he deserves the rank of 'general' far more than any of the heavily medalled and overweight commanders of Arab armies who do little more than stage parades and earn corrupt commissions on arms deals.

Remember the date — 7 October. It may mark a historic turning point in the Arab world, from a period of submission, surrender, normalization, and delusions about the enemy as protector, to one of dignity and liberation: in this case, the total liberation of Palestine.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared a state of war, threatened a devastating response, and called up his army's reservists. But what can he do that he has not already done? Kill hundreds more innocent civilians in Gaza? It would not be the first time. But this time, it could trigger a devastating reaction that reaches as far as Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem.

Palestinian Islamic Jihad joined Hamas in this battle, as did all the armed resistance wings of the major Palestinian factions. The resistance brigades in the West Bank - in Jenin, Nablus, Tulkarem, and potentially Hebron - have been inspired and, with their solid base of popular support, have begun to join the fight. And it cannot be ruled out that components of the axis of resistance in Lebanon and Syria, and even Yemen and Iraq, will do so too in the foreseeable future, if not sooner.

CNN's website has this ~1 hour old article: Israeli official says government cannot confirm babies were beheaded in Hamas attack | CNN

A minute ago a CNN anchor clued me into the new hasbara spin: "Hamas was willing to kill babies so..." At that point I paused and googled for two reasons. I needed to confirm there was no proof of the beheadings or or rest of the lies. It was still beheaded baby vibes. And I needed to stop myself from taking my desktop screen, lifting it over my head, and bringing it down repeatedly until I passed out from injury and pain.

Ya Allah, it looks like Hezbollah and by extension Lebanon have officially joined the war. My cousin who works in Tyre/Sour sent us a pic in the family group chat of a massive Hezbollah convoy outside of the city and some dudes from Hezbollah started sending messages on WhatsApp telling people to leave to Beirut if possible. Genuinely shaking and tearing up as I'm writing this, may Allah keep the resistance safe and grant them victory.

Love how my local news framed pro-Palestine protests as "occurring at a time when Hamas is massacring Jews at a level not seen since the Holocaust".

Anyway, so we've seen the propaganda, bloodlust, and hysteria over Ukraine. We're seeing the propaganda, bloodlust, and hysteria over Pissrael.

Now imagine how bad it's gonna be when the war with China begins.

The fetishization of freedom of speech has destroyed the Western ability to think critically.

The assumption is that the "accurate" views will trickle down and thus there's no need for you to think critically on your own.

The Democrat politicians publicly issuing statements of support for the Israeli state are the same people who put thousands of troops in my city the day the verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial was announced. If the murderer of George Floyd had been allowed to go free they would have set the US military on us had we dared to object. It's not far away at all.

The police that suppressed the uprisings in the US in 2020 used tactics developed in coordination with Israeli security forces, using equipment that was tested against Palestinians. US and Israeli security and intelligence services have long had a close relationship, sharing tactics, developing new weapons and equipment, and providing training for each others forces.

2.2 million people, most of them kids, trapped without water right now. People can only live like 2-3 days without water. Egypt has yet to open any corridor or send any notable amount of humanitarian aid. Good thing tomorrow is Friday, hundreds of thousands will start to die of thirst if it was any later. Millions of refugees will hit the borders, either on boats or breaking into Egypt. Israel may try to open a corridor for civilians, but the resistance will die of siege quickly if there's no outside attack. Hezbollah you are needed. Iran you are needed. Syria, I'm sorry you don't get any breaks but you are needed. Turkey stabbing Syria in the back right now and attacking any Syrian controlled territory would not be tolerated.

Someone please explain how the settlers holding a music festival on stolen land right next to the giant ghetto their government routinely attempts to liquidate are "innocent civilians".

Swap "Israeli-Palestinian" with "European-Native American" and it suddenly becomes incredibly obvious to many more people what's wrong in this situation. It's convenient to only pay lip service to opposing colonialism in situations where the colonisation is functionally complete and your control will never be threatened.

China is entering an active political struggle against the West

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, at a conference with EU representative Borrell, spoke in support of Palestine, saying that the Palestinian people have been oppressed by Israel for more than half a century. He also added that he would speak in emergency consultations of the UN Security Council in support of a cessation of hostilities, and China would provide humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip.

Russian delegate to the UN Security Council: The escalation is very worrying and the region is on the brink of an unprecedented and uncomprehensive war

Venezuela: March in support of Palestine in Plaza Bolivar in Caracas.
