It does make me wonder why the US establishment does this. Is there just more money in snake oil? Are they so far gone that they don't even realise that a healthy and not-dying workforce is more productive than a disease ridden one? Do they not understand that if another country creates these sorts of cures then the US doesn't? That their medical industry can't patent troll their way into controlling global healthcare and other countries will move on without the US? I just don't understand their actions, even in the context of being greedy out of touch billionaires.
