I have no idea who this is but that is a dry ass waffle

CEO of Bluesky, who is being incredibly insensitive to the non-fascist users right now

[-] buckykat@hexbear.net 27 points 1 week ago

The CEO of the fascist web site designed to be just like the other fascist web site is fascist?

[-] dead@hexbear.net 23 points 1 week ago

I am confused by this. In the context screenshot, you are banned for a post. This is a picture of a waffle. How are these things related? Does the CEO even know that you were banned?

[-] Saymaz@lemmygrad.ml 22 points 1 week ago

It's not about me. 'Waffles' was her stupid reaction to users asking her about moderating transphobia and nazi hate speech on her site.

[-] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 3 points 1 week ago

Literally just

“We agree that social media shouldn’t be this way, so you’re going to ban these cyberbullies turning bluesky into something you say you don’t want, right?”

“Whoa whoa whoa! I NEVER SAID THAT! That’s totally different!”

How dense can someone be? And why does she want to protect trolls so badly?

What the fuck is going on?

[-] Llituro@hexbear.net 30 points 1 week ago

from what i've gathered between this post and some posts on the hexbear mastodon instance, the C suite at bluesky are going directly out of their way to continue platforming some abusive transphobe despite sustained and deafening backlash. and they're doing so with this silly fash rhetoric of the fundamental unreasonability of asking for bigots to be removed.

[-] EllenKelly@hexbear.net 19 points 1 week ago

I got excited when people started leaving twitter and there was an uptik on mastodon but then the vast majority of people wound up on bluesky and hey maybe they could have seen this coming

[-] TheVelvetGentleman@hexbear.net 17 points 1 week ago

People assuming that everyone is following Twitter drama. I'm guessing there's 4 levels of explanation needed to understand why I should be angry. I didn't even think bluesky was popular.

[-] peeonyou@hexbear.net 5 points 1 week ago

it isn't.. but hexbear seems to have some perverse fascination with it

[-] StalinistApologist@hexbear.net 8 points 1 week ago

the right side of the waffle is communism, i think

[-] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 21 points 1 week ago

Oh cool, that’s the ceo of the alleged twitter alternative literally ragebaiting her users because they want her to do her job and ban a troll.

What’s her reason anyway for this? Some phony ‘muh freeze peach’ or just pure ‘but I dun feel like it!”

[-] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 5 points 1 week ago

Probably some lib mantra like "If people hate you, it means you're standing up for something" or some bullshit.

[-] nothx@hexbear.net 20 points 1 week ago

CEO of Social Media Company

nobody should ever be surprised by shit like this from people like that.

[-] ConcreteHalloween@hexbear.net 18 points 1 week ago

Assume she put some syrup on it after this pick, that waffle actually looks pretty good.

[-] EnsignRedshirt@hexbear.net 18 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

None waffle, left fruit

[-] EllenKelly@hexbear.net 5 points 1 week ago

carbs, topped with more carbs, lightly sprinkled with pure carbs. Perfect for a long day of doing absolutely nothing

[-] fannin@hexbear.net 4 points 1 week ago

How do you know it’s not lightly sprinkled with cocaine? That could make for a very productive day.

[-] Kopfrkingl@hexbear.net 3 points 1 week ago

twitter with a liberal coat of paint is still shit

Who could have guessed, still waiting for actually decentralized social media platforms to take over the world. Mastodon is making good progress in that regard at the least.
