chat gpt run administration

[-] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 49 points 1 month ago

This administration isn't just run by AI — it's delving head-first into the future.

if you target Americans - anywhere in the world - you will spend the rest of your brief, anxious life knowing the United States will hunt you, find you, and ruthlessly kill you

So they're nuking the white house and pentagon?

[-] Frogmanfromlake@hexbear.net 43 points 1 month ago

Typical American response. Military targets get attacked so they respond by massacring civilians

[-] Hexamerous@hexbear.net 6 points 1 month ago

Comfort bombings.

[-] NewDark@hexbear.net 38 points 1 month ago

That isn't very "turn the other cheek" of you.

[-] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 32 points 1 month ago

The only reason this man turns his cheeks is to grab another bottle of booze off the shelf

Noooooo but muh news outlets said she lost because of being a woman thooooo

Gaza? Whats that?

[-] demerit@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 1 month ago

Tbf Gaza wasnt mainstream enough - it was still considered a "niche" tankie issue, and evidence of the "let the good be the enemy of perfect" and "the left is devouring itself", it might have cost her dearborn but not the presidency.

[-] ClimateStalin@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago

It was the top reason given by people who voted for Biden in 2020 but didn’t vote in 2024 for why they didn’t vote. It did in fact cost her the presidency.

multiple polls have basically proven that the genocide issue was major among left-wing dissenters from the party, which were significant. Especially in swing states.

[-] goferking0@lemmy.sdf.org 13 points 1 month ago

They liked it so much they voted for even more money to the military!... This week

Wait, was not Syria one of the good boys now?

[-] InexplicableLunchFiend@hexbear.net 42 points 1 month ago

They are still pretending that Syrian Security Forces and IS are different things

[-] Saapas@piefed.zip 3 points 1 month ago

It wasn't the government's troops they bombed. Government troops died too in the attack that killed the Americans

[-] InevitableSwing@hexbear.net 34 points 1 month ago

To my ears that sounds just like something a super badass in a Taylor Sheridan movie or tv series would say. I assume whoever wrote it is a huge fan.

Unless you’re Israel and the American is in Palestine. In which case, target away! In fact let us get you the coordinates!

Does the US get to write off the losses since they’re just killing their own contractors?

[-] demerit@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 1 month ago

They are probably all the true ideologues of ISIS

[-] cream_provider@hexbear.net 25 points 1 month ago

Cool so we lobbed a couple missiles at apartment buildings. Meanwhile the guy who killed the Americans was a member of Syrian security forces. Things are going well.

[-] Saapas@piefed.zip 3 points 1 month ago

They're saying it was IS. Syrian security forces troops died in the original attack wher Americand also died.

[-] LeninWeave@hexbear.net 8 points 1 month ago

They're saying it was IS. Syrian security forces

same-picture

[-] Saapas@piefed.zip 2 points 1 month ago

So you're saying its some ISIS civil war or wut

[-] LeninWeave@hexbear.net 5 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I'm making a joke about the shrinking difference between IS and the US-allied Syrian government.

[-] Saapas@piefed.zip 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Right but in this case IS killed those government troops in addition to the Americans. So different groups at the very least

[-] LeninWeave@hexbear.net 4 points 1 month ago

I initially heard it was a security forces officer who was involved with IS, but that was early on.

[-] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 23 points 1 month ago

The US is attacking it's own assets again

[-] TheVelvetGentleman@hexbear.net 23 points 1 month ago

Very cool and impressive... that these guys have managed to consistently embarrass the "greatest military" for what, 15 years now?

[-] JDvecna@hexbear.net 22 points 1 month ago

I feel so defended right now Care-Comrade

[-] vegeta1@hexbear.net 11 points 1 month ago

All a distraction from the Epstein files.... Which are..... Uh redacted

Golani selling his day ones

jolani selling them out, erdogan selling them out, CIA selling them out. Israel just running roughshod over Syria and annexing chunks of it. Wonder how those true blue al nusra and ISIS dullards are feeling rn

[-] unbuckled_easily933@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 month ago

What about all of the Americans that THEY are targeting?

[-] BanMeFromPosting@hexbear.net 3 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Welcome to c/news! We aim to foster a book-club type environment for discussion and critical analysis of the news. Our policy objectives are:

We ask community members to appreciate the uncertainty inherent in critical analysis of current events, the need to constantly learn, and take part in the community with humility. None of us are the One True Leftist, not even you, the reader.

Newcomm and Newsmega Rules:

The Hexbear Code of Conduct and Terms of Service apply here.

  1. Link titles: Please use informative link titles. Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed.

  2. Content warnings: Posts on the newscomm and top-level replies on the newsmega should use content warnings appropriately. Please be thoughtful about wording and triggers when describing awful things in post titles.

  3. Fake news: No fake news posts ever, including April 1st. Deliberate fake news posting is a bannable offense. If you mistakenly post fake news the mod team may ask you to delete/modify the post or we may delete it ourselves.

  4. Link sources: All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. If you are citing a Twitter post as news, please include the Xcancel.com (or another Nitter instance) or at least strip out identifier information from the twitter link. There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance, such as Libredirect or archive them as you would any other reactionary source.

  5. Archive sites: We highly encourage use of non-paywalled archive sites (i.e. archive.is, web.archive.org, ghostarchive.org) so that links are widely accessible to the community and so that reactionary sources don’t derive data/ad revenue from Hexbear users. If you see a link without an archive link, please archive it yourself and add it to the thread, ask the OP to fix it, or report to mods. Including text of articles in threads is welcome.

  6. Low effort material: Avoid memes/jokes/shitposts in newscomm posts and top-level replies to the newsmega. This kind of content is OK in post replies and in newsmega sub-threads. We encourage the community to balance their contribution of low effort material with effort posts, links to real news/analysis, and meaningful engagement with material posted in the community.

  7. American politics: Discussion and effort posts on the (potential) material impacts of American electoral politics is welcome, but the never-ending circus of American Politics© Brought to You by Mountain Dew™ is not welcome. This refers to polling, pundit reactions, electoral horse races, rumors of who might run, etc.

  8. Electoralism: Please try to avoid struggle sessions about the value of voting/taking part in the electoral system in the West. c/electoralism is right over there.

  9. AI Slop: Don't post AI generated content. Posts about AI race/chip wars/data centers are fine.
