Yeah i'm assuming that as well, but that does show that the interviews were conducted in a way that did not make people feel safe and anonymous enough to answer intimate questions honestly, which calls the other findings into doubt as well.
I know teenagers are way different now, and hookup culture wasn't much of a thing when I was growing up, but in my experience a lot of queer people are late bloomers. I didn't get really laid until late in life because I realized who I was really attracted to.

This is from 2004, the people in this image are at least 35 years old by this point.
Nature documentary about the fuckgraph and "Jefferson High School".
The big one was used as the inspiration for the street layout in a subdivision in Tempe, Arizona.
