Thats the worst part about a lot of the anarchist spaces, they seem to love AI. But it doesn't exist in a bubble, and its a drain on resources needed elsewhere. It wouldn't work in decentralized anarchist communities with the level of industrialization you need to make them. Just a waste of resources when we have plenty of human brains to train.

All these GenAI apps and tools are underpriced to encourage mass adoption, which means using them is actually praxis because it's wasting their money. The more werewolves you generate the faster this bubble will pop, unlimited werewolves on the first world.
I wonder if a hacker could kill the power grid in an area with severe Winter weather right now. just have a bot farm maximize the performance of a nearby AI data center, strain the grid, and shutdown already limited power people need to not freeze to death. It seems like they are dangerous for a number of reasons.
The whole thing is running on hype. The more werewolves you create the more traffic these sites can show off and the longer they will get to keep the grift growing.

I think they do it to try and "corner the market" or something. They are convinced that AI images will make them the big bucks (or attention and fame or whatever) but don't know what will actually become popular because they despise art and creativity, so they just make a bunch of comms in order to make sure that someone else doesn't make them so they can "get in on the ground floor"

100% agree. I was banned as a "sock puppet" account from all their gen AI comms for critiquing their stream of slop.
I respect the werewolf comm way more than waifu comms, tbh. Not that I really respect either, but I think waifu culture is way more contemptible than "check out this sick ass werewolf [that is a gross AI slop excretion]".
I have a game I like to play with the waifu comm: I look at the image and try to guess if the prompt included a direct reference to breasts. Roughly 80% of the time, it does (not really keeping track, this is just an estimate on my part).

if you look at it for .5 seconds it looks like a bland generic tablet-drawn drawing of a pirate town, half finished. but when your eyes focus on any detail, it's obvious that nothing has any characteristic at all or even tries to be a depiction of anything. and this is what "ai" ""art"" """enjoyers"""" think art should be, and is in fact so good that it needs to be the banner image.
are all these people doing bits, trying to come up with the blandest shittiest garbage, in a level of irony that i can barely fathom, in a kind of meta protest agaist "ai" ""art"" and "ai" in general? because i don't want to think there's thousands of people in the world that subscribe to a comm like that and genuinely enjoy this shit and want to promote it
