Not doing much to quell the suspicion that they stole the 2020 election doing shit like this, ofc they didn't, democrats are way too stupid to pull that off.

Are we going to get a whole bunch of articles lamenting how "unprecedented" and "dangerous" this is for our democratic rights, or is that only reserved for the Republicans?

Liberals are just doing it to 'rally behind their guy to beat the biggest threat ever' , unlike conservatives who are doing it 'to trample your rights and impose authoritarian dictatorship laws'

Would be funny to watch Republicans run with it

It's just like the general election where the electors you vote for have no actual obligation to side with the popular vote.

There is no Constitutional provision or Federal law that requires electors to vote according to the results of the popular vote in their States.

For the non-yanks, when you tick the box next to "Genocide Joe", you aren't actually voting for him, you're voting for the people who pinky promise to do so but aren't actually required to.

So the "Primary" is not an official election by any means. Its just an internal selection by a club of who their representative is going to be during the "General" election. Technically, no party ever needs to hold a primary at any point and could just select a person to run without any input from the greater mass of members or supporters of a party.

Political parties are not bound by your silly laws. Just because they pretended to give you a choice before doesn't mean they will in the future.
