Efficient shapes are efficient, okay?

[-] flambonkscious@sh.itjust.works 19 points 9 months ago

Get outta here with your ditry logic!

[-] MotoAsh@lemmy.world 53 points 9 months ago

The defensive comments are hilarious. Hitting a little too close to home, pathogens? lol

[-] nifty@lemmy.world 13 points 9 months ago

Literally Morpheus getting facepunchpilled by Agent Smith.

Dude so many of you are just fucking incapable of seeing it as a joke, it's supposed to make you chuckle, not go "well actshually". This isn't a legitimate argument, this isn't something scientific article, just fucking chuckle or don't, ffs

[-] Poxlox@lemmy.world 10 points 9 months ago

Well Ackshualllyy it's spelled ackchewallheee

[-] lugal@lemmy.world 0 points 9 months ago

Thanks for clarificiticashin

[-] AtmaJnana@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

just fucking chuckle or don't

Then...what would be the point of the comment section? People know it's a mediocre joke, so there's really not much else to discuss. Without the discussion, why even visit Lemmy at all? I dont get why you would be sour about people drawing inferences and discussing them. You saw the joke and apparently you don't think there's anything else to discuss. Okay. So why are you even here?

You don’t get to point out flaws in human superiority then hide behind “just a joke bro”.

Take your xenophilic ass on the next rocket ship up, species traitor!

Terra Eterna!

Almost as if certain shapes used less material and were stronger

[-] NoSpiritAnimal@lemmy.world 14 points 9 months ago

Next you'll tell me Trees and Rivers share a similar structure because water flows efficiently in specific ways.

Well yeah, they look the same because they solve the same problem. How to transport stuff safely from A to B.

[-] problematicPanther@lemmy.world 28 points 9 months ago

humanity is a disease, Mr Anderson. And I am the cure.

[-] HKPiax@lemmy.world 25 points 9 months ago

Earth is developing a fever as we start shedding viruses.

[-] samus12345@lemmy.world 19 points 9 months ago

"You spread like a disease!"

[-] Dyskolos@lemmy.zip 9 points 9 months ago

Jeez. You must be an old fart to know that classic 😁

[-] ArmoredThirteen@lemmy.ml 9 points 9 months ago

Wait how old before you're an old fart vs just normal old? I watched this movie when I was a kid. I'm just going into my 30s I need to know...

[-] Nikls94@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

We have become the old people… PS3 is considered… Retro

[-] ArmoredThirteen@lemmy.ml 2 points 9 months ago

Oh no, I stopped playing consoles on PS2 and the 360... I haven't even played on a PS3

[-] Aggravationstation@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

Better question, what makes someone an old fart vs just a regular fart?

[-] flambonkscious@sh.itjust.works 1 points 9 months ago

I suspect it's about the trust-factor.

You're definitely an old fart of you can't trust then to be safe. I don't know how broad that window is however, and while mine are still very trustworthy I suspect there's a long 'sunrise period' where we lapse into old-fartness.

[-] samus12345@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

Yes, very much so.

[-] _Sprite@lemmy.world 12 points 9 months ago
[-] flambonkscious@sh.itjust.works 1 points 9 months ago

Nah man, this is fucking gold! It's novel, very shit-postey, cynical and doesn't rely on recent it established trends (oil / beans etc).

This is top tier in my book!

[-] CarbonIceDragon@pawb.social 5 points 9 months ago

ah yes: basic shapes found almost everywhere, and thing with legs on its base because its landing on something. The connection is clear

[-] umbrella@lemmy.ml 4 points 9 months ago

matrix vibes

[-] papalonian@lemmy.world 4 points 9 months ago

This is actually huge if true 🤔😯

[-] Demuniac@lemmy.world 10 points 9 months ago

Not really, it just proves the shapes we chose were effective.

[-] papalonian@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

It was just a joke, lol. "Big if true" is a common ironic phrase
