How is this different from food costing money

[-] queermunist@lemmy.ml 7 points 9 months ago

Well for one thing rich people are still mortal despite eating the best food money can buy.

There's a gulf between that and the comfort people get from knowing their enemies will die all on their own. Might be motivating ๐Ÿ˜‰

The simple truth is I'm just shitposting here

I guess I could argue that the notion of being kept alive forever to just continue doing the same work every day until the sun explodes is a bit different from most people's current existence, but only in the duration of it

"In an authoritarian move, China has restricted cancer's God given freedom to grow, a chilling sign for investors."

[-] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 5 points 9 months ago

"In a bid to strike out against American pharmaceutical companies, China disregards the international medical community by unilaterally developing a cure for cancer"

Chernobyl being the thing that preserves complex life through a nuclear war and ensuing radioactive wasteland:

posadist-nuke What a twist!

[-] NephewAlphaBravo@hexbear.net 25 points 9 months ago

I've been taking small doses to build up an immunity

[-] barrbaric@hexbear.net 16 points 9 months ago

IIRC there's some theories that this might actually be true for radiation. Radiation hormesis

[-] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 9 points 9 months ago

I've personally been eating pieces of myself to develop a natural protection against cannibals.
