I always remember unity, but idk how to access emoji browser as a non hexbear user and idk where to get links from the github repo and if I post my own link, hexbear users won't see afaik.
When you click "view source" under a comment with an emoji (button right next to vote arrows looks like piece of paper) you can click that to see the text link and copy + paste that.
For example I just copy/pasted this from one of your lemmygrad comments:

I added a space between the bracket and parentheses so you could see.
Also I think it's external images that we can't see natively, not emojis I see some banger grad emojis from time to time posted here. And to fix that for HBers reading you can click the fediverse button (between Show Context and Save) to see the image regularly on its home instance.
As someone who is on Hexbear but uses Eternity instead of the website and therefore don't have access to the emoji database, I also collect emojis and I think these types of posts are super helpful and based. Thank you!

I do have a hexbear account but i mainly use my ml account for access to some defederated stuff. I also use jerboa which doesnt have access to hexbear emojis either
No worries! Enjoy them in good post. This also helped me consolidate everything in one place. Haha I had them all under different 'Saves' on Eternity.
For sure, maybe it's the opposite for me, I'm originally a lemmy.ml user but jumped to hexbear.net since I spent most my Lemmy time here anyway. I do wish Hexbear wasn't as defederated and had more content but I'm also glad it's so internally active and I rarely have to jump to lemmy.ml for content.
I have some more to add that I was too tired to include last night. Sorry if I'm redoubling the efforts of others or have added the same emoji multiple times, I may go back and edit these comments later.
