I remember a joke at the beginning of the war:

"This is actually a proxy war between Russia and NATO. Russia has lost over 10,000 troops already and counting." "And what about the NATO forces?" "They haven't shown up yet."

A good one too. Then he decided to predict his immediate future via a sitcom about a regular guy getting surprise-elected President. It was pretty funny.

The show got cancelled when he got surprise-elected President.

He was. Very interesting guy. On his way to becoming a major historical figure. Not quite as big as Winston Churchill but of the same cloth. Both of them told a tyrant to go fuck themselves. Americans love that story.

Russia, all this time you've been claiming Ukraine was yours already and you were just taking it back. If we take you at your word, we've been letting Ukraine use US supplied weapons 'inside Russia' all this time since 2022. So how is what we're doing now different? Or are you saying that Ukraine ISN'T yours and you're there in violation of international law as well as the Budapest memorandum?

I mean, sure it's fatal. For the Russians.

[-] Tobberone@lemm.ee 14 points 5 months ago

So, basically, there is a difference on one side or the other on a line of a map somewhere? There is a Russia and not-Russia. So even Kreml doesn't think Chrimea is part of Russia...

[-] Treczoks@lemmy.world 9 points 5 months ago

In other words, the Russians are afraid of this. Then it must be a good decision.

[-] themeatbridge@lemmy.world 7 points 5 months ago

[-] Paragone@lemmy.world 0 points 5 months ago

& therefore Russia shouldn't be using Russian weapons inside Ukraina, then, right??
