David Attenborough voice: "Though the Cybertruck has an inedible shell the Common Burglar simply peels the outer layer to access the choice morsels within."

Haircuts and toys? Is this like those "adult arcades" I always wanted to go to when I was a kid?

[-] Pili@hexbear.net 13 points 2 months ago

Hey at least you don't have to vacuum all the broken pieces of glass from inside your car.

Uncritical support to that car thief.

You can also pee a cybertruck. You don't even have to be a burglar you can just do it.

[-] 7bicycles@hexbear.net 32 points 2 months ago

I would assume if you pee on it it will short out the electric that's all one circuit and either lock forever or open all doors. In the latter, might aswell

I know what your comment is trying to say, but the typo has me imagining someone having a cybertruck stuck in their urethra and needing to pee it out like a kidney stone.

Tyler the creator "hahahaha how the fuck is CyberB̶u̶l̶l̶y̶i̶n̶g̶truck real"

[-] roux@hexbear.net 26 points 2 months ago

Hell yeah brother. Can't wait for next week to see posts about how Tesla recalled all 500,000 units again.

Quick question: were Tesla this shit before the giant goon of a spoiled child did his hostile takeover?

Musk took them over right as the first gen roadsters were being released in 2008 so it seems that they were able to operate fine for over a decade before he got incredibly divorced and started interfering more.

Idk if I’d say fine. QC has never been known to be good on any car after they first rolled off the not dealership lot. The model S and Y took YEARS to get acceptable quality control. The model 3 and y only took a few. The cybertruck being so odd idk how long it’s gonna take for them to get their shit together.

Elon just wanted to make himself more and more the center of attention.

Surprisingly, no racism in the comments, and only one guy wishing the cybertruck had machine guns to kill whoever tried to break in. Way less unhinged than other CT forums I've seen.

A clever car burglar broke into a vacant Cybertruck by popping one of the windows ajar and then peeling it wide open.

I thought the subheader was a bit confusing. But the text is still confusing. My guess is that burglar used a pry bar in a two or three locations to weaken the glass and then the glass conveniently (and safely) shattered. And then he peeled it down.

After he looked inside the vehicle, the burglar took a tool from the red car and popped ajar the driver side window of the Cybertruck. The glass shattered but the window still kept its shape, probably due to an adhesive layer that keeps the Tesla window glass layers laminated together.

Look at the pic I posted, the article hides it in the background for some reason. It's funnier than you think.

[-] Boxscape@lemmy.sdf.org 19 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

The burglar then peeled down the window

Like a can of sardines!

[-] Deadend@hexbear.net 16 points 2 months ago

That seems.. normal for car break in. Bust a window and grab.

[-] FourteenEyes@hexbear.net 27 points 2 months ago

Usually when you break a car window you'll set off the alarm, if it has one

This piece of shit didn't do anything of the sort

[-] keepcarrot@hexbear.net 22 points 2 months ago

Comrade cybertruck ain't no narc

[-] Deadend@hexbear.net 1 points 2 months ago

Ahhh! Ok.

Wow, amazing they forgot a window alarm system.

I thought it was a “you can break the windows to get in!” Which is “yes. This applies to everything with a large window”

But the corners that are cut on the $100,000 truck made of corners.. it’s kind of impressive.

Time to get some "Free Gun" bumper stickers to vandalize these monstrosities with. Seeing more in my city

[-] RyanGosling@hexbear.net 9 points 2 months ago

Nah that’s too obvious. You want to get NRA stickers or Glock stickers to really sell it to burglars. You can probably get a bulk pack on Aliexpress.
