Lies, damned lies, and nerds

For the people worried this is chuddery: the comment was regarding football stats specifically, and he appeared to be making them tongue-in-cheek. He was satirizing the Falcons head coach who was doing the “I don’t need no newfangled analytics I need THE WILL TO WIN” boomer response to why a receiver wasn’t getting targeted.

He's a character and hard not to like. That parade day speech was classic philly. The parade itself was the funniest and funnest philly history. Really brought the city together in a way I didn't think was possible. It was like a city wide blockparty.

Beavis and Butt-Head once ranted about that when they were bumped down to kindergarten on one episode.

Butt-Head: "Numbers suck!"

Kindergarten Teacher: "Are you angry, Butt-Head?"

Butt-Head: "Yeah... I'm angry at numbers."

Beavis: "Yeah, there's, like, too many of them."

The obsession with stats in American sports is one of their biggest put offs.

Well that and they're boring as fuck

Is he saying this because he's not playing good right now or something?

[-] Cammy@hexbear.net 10 points 1 week ago

I hope he's not terrible. I don't need to lose another celebrity crush right now.

My most charitable interpretation of this is that people are tired of the bazinga-brained finance bros that are starting to take over NFL decision making. But at the end of the day who fucking cares

But at the end of the day who fucking cares

The aforementioned finance bros that are starting to take over NFL decision making certainly care because they're making bank.
