Its like once or twice a day and they're decently sized. It feels like my body produces twice as much poop. Lowkey feels like wasting nutrients 😭.

It's the extra dietary fibre. Your body is absorbing the nutrients it needs but can't digest the fibre - this is fine and normal. Luckily, you have plenty of gut bacteria that LOOOVE fibre and can even help protect you from other illnesses and help get different nutrients into you. The tradeoff is they fart a lot on it, which makes you fart a lot.

A lot of non-vegan western standard diets are very short on fibre (people literally just need to eat more veggies and theyd be fine). Hence the infamous GI changes, bigger poops, farting that comes with starting to eat vegan. It'll work itself out to something more normal, I swear lol

Oh no. I am already on meds that make me fart more than average. Veganism is going to ruin me /s

Yes to everything you said. Except I found that the gas goes down after a year or two of being vegan. It's like your gut adjusts.

Wiping is bourgeois!

Seriously though, my butt hole is so much better now.

[-] sharkfucker420@lemmy.ml 7 points 4 weeks ago

I have every intention to do so lol

Yes! I have a similar pattern where I have a very large poop in the morning or two moderately-largely sized poops (once in the morning and once later at a random time depending on my physical activity, caffeine intake, etc). I also need to drink more water now for my skin to not dry out.

It feels like my body produces twice as much poop. Lowkey feels like wasting nutrien

Don't! It's probably a combination of cellulose, junk that could otherwise accumulate in your intestines/kidneys/liver, but is being scrubbed out of the blood by the cellulose, water, and (if you're eating and digesting a normal amount and not currently dealing with an infection or something) whatever else you weren't able to absorb. But if you're healthy and eating a healthy mix of calories for your activity level, you shouldn't worry as the intestines are fairly adaptive

Not really. Once every 2 days on average I would estimate.

When I first made the change I was kinda amazed at the difference too lol

3 or 4 times a day /shrug. even a carnist diet should have you pooing a couple of times. Less is a severe lack of fibre.

Yes. And it's great

[-] ButtBidet@hexbear.net 4 points 4 weeks ago

Dunno. But my poop just comes out so easily. When I'm in a public toilet, other dudes (I'm assuming carnists)take so long to shit and I can hear them stressing and grunting as they try to squeeze it out.
