If you elect me as president i will use the newly granted immunity from crimes powers to carry a vintage tokarev used in the great purge and fucking dome anyone who even breathes an escalation towards nuclear war.

First noggin recipients gotta be the supreme court justices so that they can't overturn the decision.

I know it's been talked about, but they really forced Biden off the ticket under the pretense of "he's not popular enough", ignoring that at least part of his lack of popularity was attributable to his brain turning to mush, and then they just...let him keep running things?

He's at the point where you shouldn't let him have his own set of car keys any longer

[-] PoY@lemmygrad.ml 33 points 1 day ago

i doubt he's running or has run anything. I'm pretty sure the military just keeps doing what they do no matter who is in office. It's just sometimes they have to exert a little more pressure than other times.

Yeah. @PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmygrad.ml was saying that opaque leadership structures is a sign of autocracies or something and idk if we have any idea who is actually making decisions for the country now.

I've said it before but he's just a shambling undead rubber stamp at this point

Between this and Saudi Arabia, I can't interpret Biden as anything other than pro-nuclear-proliferation stalin-stressed

[-] o_d@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 13 hours ago

pro-nuclear-proliferation

Abbreviated to pro-proliferation

[-] o_d@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 13 hours ago

pro-proliferation

Or just propro

[-] Frank@hexbear.net 24 points 23 hours ago

[-] BodyBySisyphus@hexbear.net 28 points 1 day ago

The Cold War really broke all the dinosaurs' brains in a deep and irreparable way, huh?

Two years ago, Gen. Mark A. Milley, then the chief military adviser to President Biden, suggested that neither Russia nor Ukraine could win the war. A negotiated settlement, he argued, was the only route to peace. His remarks caused a furor among senior officials. But President-elect Donald J. Trump’s win is turning General Milley’s prediction into reality.

Incredible framing here, Ukraine is totally on the path to victory it’s just this upcoming Trump presidency that’s forcing a negotiated settlement, sure…

"Two years ago, the war looked more even. Events continued happening, as they always do, and now Russia is winning. This is clearly because of an event in the future. I am a journalist and I understand causality."

A classic stab in the back myth.

Several officials should be strung up from a lamppost and beaten with waffle irons until dead

Can't those fucking psychos shut up and take an L on chest just this once?

[-] yogthos@lemmygrad.ml 38 points 1 day ago

Seems like the next two months are going to be the most dangerous time in history.

When fascists feel the slightest sting of the ol' L-pain in their chests they scream and thrash like it's the first time in their lives, huh? Then they must kill even harder to sate that itchy feeling that they're not in complete control.

[-] miz@hexbear.net 58 points 1 day ago

this is part of what sparked Russia's SMO in the first place, Zelensky talking shit about getting nukes

[-] Frank@hexbear.net 15 points 23 hours ago

Yeah it's fucking annoying that Putin actually did have several causus belli recognized in international law, including the duty to intervene in genocide recognized in international law which literally only Yemen has acted on in Gaza.

[-] Piment@hexbear.net 13 points 22 hours ago

Only if Kazakhstan and Belarus gets them returned too, if we really want to be fair here

Really hate how media about imminent nuclear annihilation has become relevant again

[-] Frank@hexbear.net 6 points 23 hours ago

I hate the part where frothingfash are screaming for it while wanking themselves in to a blood frenzy.

[-] BeamBrain@hexbear.net 6 points 23 hours ago

Takes a special kind of person to consider the scenario from Threads and think "Yeah that sounds like a good time to me"
